I love all kinds of music, specially Bass related.

Starting as a guitarist in high school, I fell in love with electronic music at 16 and began attending raves. This passion continued into college, where I discovered DJing. Along with college friends and San Diego community members, I co-founded the Afternoon Umbrella Friends, a collective that allowed me to explore different styles and find my artistic identity.

Playing at Umbrella Weekend is a highlight of my career, and I look forward to delivering uniquely crafted sets in that space. Now primarily focused on music production, I DJ only a few times a year while building my studio and honing my skills. Currently, I am working on releasing my first EPs to share my sound more widely.

My musical journey began with the psychedelic rock of Pink Floyd, the soulful melodies of the Black Pumas, and hip hop beats. These early influences laid the groundwork for my evolving sound. In the electronic realm, the dark bass music of the Deep Dark and Dangerous label and Digital Vagabond shaped my approach to depth and bass. Live electronic artists like Pretty Lights, Griz, Gramatik, Glitch Mob, and Four Tet inspired me to blend live instrumentation with electronic elements. Techno from Berlin, Australia, and Mexico added a dirty, psychedelic edge to my music.


Musical Style:
My house and techno style is a dynamic blend of driving, dark, and psychedelic elements. It pulses with relentless energy, keeping the dance floor moving while creating immersive soundscapes. Progressive elements ensure each track is a journey, evolving and transforming as it unfolds. By bending styles and genres, I push the boundaries of house and techno, integrating diverse influences to create a unique sonic experience that challenges expectations and invites exploration.

Soupherb Records is an imprint of @ash-roy and @calmchor. Over the past 12 years, the label has proven to be an international platform for forward thinking and experimental music producers. 
Bringing together genres like Techno, Minimal, and their sub genres is what has led to Soupherb collaborations taking artists across the globe and hosting tours both within Asia and Europe.

Noct est un DJ et compositeur français originaire de Montpellier qui s'est imposé sur la scène techno locale. Passionné de musique électronique depuis l’adolescence, il s’est formé en autodidacte aux techniques de mixage et à la MAO sur Ableton. 

Depuis une dizaine d’années, il joue régulièrement dans des soirées privées, des bars et des clubs. Attaché à l’esprit de la fête libre, il s’investit également dans divers collectifs locaux. Il commence à être programmé dans des festivals reconnus sur la scène techno underground. 

Le style de Noct varie entre techno minimale, techno progressive et psy-techno qu’il affectionne tout particulièrement depuis quelques années.
Il propose des sets énergiques et puissants qui entraînent le public dans un univers hypnotique, à la fois sombre, festif et subtilement psychédélique.
