Oortek’s (Ex. DAS BOOT) focus lies on the exploration of progressive, dark minimal and driving techno, and its synthesis with ethereal melodic elements and alien, otherworldly sounding psychedelika. Driven by curiosity and a fascination with the unknown, she seeks to fully embrace the creative process and delivers intelligently crafted sets that draw the audience in. Through the transmission of enticing auditory landscapes interspersed with unorthodox twists and turns, her DJ sets serve as an antidote to the stale and ordinary.

Oortek grew up in the inner city environments of Western Germany, where her fascination with house and techno sounds first developed. After moving to Australia in 2013, she quickly discovered the underground music scene and refined her interest through continuous engagement with the community.  Oortek performed her DJ debut in July 2023, and has since played at a number of events held by Brisbane based organisers including Diffuszed Studios, Misheen Productions and Wizards of Kingston.

Début des années 2000 je m'amusais à mixer venils .

Les circonstences de la vie m'ont éloignée de ce que j'aimais .... la musique techno dans tous ces genres....

Après une longue pause, de retour sur le dance floor, la pasion de mixer ma repris ...


je n'ai pas la prétention d'être dj mais j'adore mixer dans mon salon :) .

Life's circumstances took me away from what I loved... techno music in all its genres....

After a long break, back on the dance floor, the passion for mixing took me back

I don't pretend to be a DJ, but I love mixing in my living room :).

His statement of techno is the way he lives, sweating and grinding in search of answers, living his own subculture on the road.
Sculpting sound in real time, his sets are unstable structures, shaped by pressure, instinct and space.

Years of dawless performance forged a signature sound, hypnotic, distorted, acid soaked to atmospheric turning into deep trance. His large sound inventory became a language.

Today he mastered the TR-8S as main instrument and adopted an hybrid setup:
Ableton Live drives the sonic quality to its peak where all the signal get mastered and before coming out to the Xone96.
APC40 controls the scenes like a groovebox.
The Xone K2 as hardware effect controller and internal pad to control a secondary drum machine.
Torso T1 sequence his synths, System-1m along with other integrated synths
And the OTO Boum as Master Thru is the last point of escape for his music.


Just pure presence.
Every set is a question. 
Every drop is a cut through time.
