The album is completed by several other artists who have accompanied the two on their musical journey. Gregor Sündermann from the founding city of Frankfurt, the collective Kom.Bass from their hometown Berlin or Schörmann, artist and label owner himself, Jürgen Peng from Herz & Leber, as well as Minörs and Wilde See, two artists completing the album with their unique sound. Tale of Two

PREMIERE: Felix E - Gust of Ardour (Wilde See Remix) [Grey Bar Hotel]

AlpaKa MuziK is proud to present a fresh 6-track EP by Australian psychedelic techno producer Aleckat. It includes remixes by Aussie duo Handsdown & Leigh Boy and Canadian artist Mat Moebius.

Once again, Aleckat brings to the world an EP consisting of incredible beats that don't quite fit into any categroy you're familiar with. A genre-bending album incorporating a mixture of deep, hiphop inspired subs and earthquake inducing bass, before being peppered with the razor sharp psychedelica you've come to expect. He graces us with 4 amazing original tunes, that'll leave you wanting more.

We've asked a couple of very talented producers to get on remix duties;  Aussie techno heavyweights Handsdown & Leigh Boy for their debut on AlpaKa and our hometown psychedelic techno producer Mat Moebius. These two very different remixes wonderfully complete this 6-track EP with a little something you didn't even know you needed.

ST003 - Folic State & Reclaim - Kambo EP

We are pleased to share the first collaborative EP by Mumbai based techno crop Folic State and Pune based Reclaim. Together they present Kambo EP Incl. 2 Originals & 3 remixes. 
We're thrilled to welcome Hc Kurtz, Malek Ales and Uddhav on remix duties. 

The title track 'KAMBO' gives a solid opening to the EP, with a vibe which is deep, dark and menacing. Cleverly deployed drums, eerie synths and trippy atmospheres, glide over a driving bass line. 'Kambo' is a healing ritual used mainly in South America. It's named after the poisonous secretions of the giant monkey frog!

'SAVOR', a track which instantly grabs your attention with its phat bass and quirky synths. Makes you want to get off that chair within a few seconds in! 

The EP moves on with a remix of Kambo by Berlin based techno producer Hc Kurtz, bringing in his signature style. This one's deep, dark and broody, with a menacing groove! Next up is Malek Ales' interpretation on Kambo, The Slovenian has produced a banger of a remix, perfect for peak hours. Its got power written all over it from the get go! 
The last of remixes is by Uddhav from Chennai, India. His remix of Savor retains most parts of the original. Keeps it dark and driving, adding a psychedelic touch with twisted effects and synths to the mix.

Folic State & Reclaim - Kambo (Original Mix) [Snippet]

There's a lot of back story to this particular release, but we will keep it succinct for the sake of clarity. To say we've been fans of Vincent Courcot's many musical aliases over the years would be underselling it, to say the least. This dynamic France-based producer and composer has been at the absolute top of the game, no matter the genre. With his recent incarnation as VØSNE, Vincent delights his listeners to a dynamic range of deep, dubby and melodic techno, drenched in delicious analog FX, with an organic and improvised feel.

With the appropriately-named title track 'Hypnotherapy', we take a trip down memory lane to the more hypnotic tech-trance leaning side of this maestro's output, as fans of Tetraktys will readily attest. The collaborative b-side with Clutch takes things into more progressive tech-house territory, reminiscent of his Motion and Solead projects, all in a stunningly contemporary package. We hope you enjoy 'Hypnotherapy', a dance-floor tested release from one of the true great electronic artists of our time.

Mosquito

"Somnus" is the Roman god of sleep. A "protocol" implies a scientific, systematic procedure. So, the album is presented as an auditory log of a clinical experiment—a series of controlled ventures into the human subconscious. This clinical, detached framing creates a cool contrast with the deep, emotional, and often chaotic nature of dreams, which is perfect for the dub/deep techno sound.
