In seeking light, I met the shade,  
Where all I was began to fade.  
What felt like loss was grace in turn,  
The self unmade so truth could burn.  

Oh, the weight of awakening, heavy and kind,  
Breaking the walls inside my mind.  
From hollow depths, the heart can see,  
Even sorrow births the key.  

Depression whispered, “Be still, just stay,  
The dawn is born from night’s decay.”  
The pain that once felt like the end,  
Now teaches how the soul can mend.
