Vertex is Slobodan Gacesa (aka Merlin) from Serbia. 

It all started back in 2008, when two friends, Nikola Kozic (ZYCE) and Slobodan Gacesa (MERLIN) joined forces to create something new on the scene - a combination of psytrance and chillout - and Vertex was born.

With Slobodan's knowledge in playing piano, harmonies and in general musical theory and Nikola's widely known expertise in music production and sound design, this project represents beautiful blend of deep, progressive, psy-trance, ethnic and ambient motives, with wide spectrum of diverse themes and sounds. 

Debut album under the name "OCEAN", which represented the element of water, was released for TesseracTstudio records in 2010. After a great success of "OCEAN", dynamic duo continues the journey and two years after delivers the second album with symbolic name "EARTH", which represented element of earth and had a great success on most of the major psy trance charts. 

It inspired many music producers and therefore already next year (2013) album under name of "EARTH remixes" was released on TesseracTstudio, containing remixes done by names such as Suduaya, Human Element, Nerso, Aquafeel and more.

So far besides albums, there were more then 15 EP's and Singles released for some of the biggest records labels in the scene and Vertex had been selected on more than 30 VA compilations worldwide!

Vertex's collaboration track with Pion called "Sunrise Tonic" achieved a great success and became a massive hit, even being remixed by legendary Liquid Soul and released on Perfecto records by Paul Oakenfold. It was selected as official track of famous OZORA festival in 2011.

Over the years, Vertex has developed a unique and recognizable sound on the scene, known by beautiful melodies, atmospheres, harmonies and divergent spectrum of sounds. It is considered to be one of the most innovative projects on progressive & psy trance scene, often combining what is considered impossible.

After the years of collaboration and 2 studio albums, Slobodan took the lead and in 2017 friends decided to split, resulting in Vertex being a solo project of Slobodan.

Slobodan is at the moment in the process of making the 3rd studio album, which will have association with the element of... FIRE! Album will be released by the end of the year 2019.

Protheus (Filip Kasper) was born on July 30, 1988 in Belgrade, Serbia. His interest for electronic music began in 2001 and quickly he fell in love with psytrance sound. In late 2004 he began his DJing carrier by playing in popular clubs around Belgrade. He collaborated with a large number of Serbian organizations such as: Xperiment, Intelect, GoaSapiens and Save the Rave. In early 2010 he joined Psychofusion organization which began to organize parties in Belgrade with famous artists such as: Pixel, Domestic, Mad Maxx, Makida, Relativ, Chakra, Absolum, Psysex, Exile, Outsiders, Shift, Electro Sun, Perplex, Krunch , Alienn and many other. In 2013 he started making his own tunes and gets more involved in music production. Now he's preparing his debute ep for Transcape records and working on collaborations with other artists under the name Protheus.

At the end of the first decade of the new millennium the influence of contemporary club music on the Psy Trance scene is omnipresent: More and more producers from all the different corners of this style take up elements from Minimal and Techno. Others turn to very poppy melodies which unfortunately has a negative impact on the psychedelic deepness of the music. In this situation Solar Tech Records very consciously defines itself as an innovative platform for classical Psy Trance sounds in 2008. Without peering at recent trends, label founder DJ Natron is engaged in keeping up and promoting the original idea of this music. The result is driving dance music with a proper dose of thrill and piles of deep and psychedelic moments but without getting poppy, kitschy or hectic at any time. Laugi aka Natron gathered lots of experience not only as a long-year DJ but also as promoter of the popular Hamburg-based party series “Intact Expanda” and therefore developed a sophisticated feeling for the vibe of the scene. Solar Tech’s sound refers to new generation of artists that unites its local influences of the Trance hot spots South Africa, the UK, South America and Hamburg to an ever exciting and refreshing new mixture: Pushing dance music which makes your feet dancing and your mind floating in the club as well as on a sunlit dance floor of an open air festival!

They say reality is stranger than fiction, but Fiction’s music is everything but. Real psychedelia, real spiritual journey, real mayhem on the dancefloor, is what can be described as the staple sound of Nikola Perić. Back In 2006, he decided to invest in his knowledge regarding music production and to elevate it to the professional level, and in 2010 he acquired bachelor’s degree as an Audio and Video Technologies engineer at the prestige Belgrade’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Applied Studies. After devoting his time and energy into Makida to ensure that the fan base has grown ever stronger and continues to conquer the dancefloors all across the globe, Nikola brought forth his attention to Fiction project. He started claiming top spots on Beatport charts, culminating by reaching no. 1 spot with “Shika” EP, released on Digital Om. Twisted, distorted yet powerful tracks with meticulously layered melodic leads, and a strong message to all listeners and dancefloor warriors alike, Nikola has brought back the good old Psytrance from the beginning of 2000’s, with a modern concept made manifested into the signature sound that is Fiction!

Everything is relative, as the saying goes. Really everything? Apparently
not: The productions of Drasko Radovanovic from Belgrade, Serbia, can
best be described as absolute: Absolute powerful, absolute danceable,
absolute psychedelic and absolute progressive. Within no time his project
Relativ became a constant of quality in the global Trance formula.

Already the very first release of Relativ is picked by DJ legend John OO Fleming for his mixes, the next two tracks can be heard in the sets of Paul Oakenfold during the year 2012. Quite obviously there is a considerable amount of talent involved in this project. 
It is a talent that gives expression to Drasko's enthusiasm for the Trance scene, growing since 2000. 
Yet there is even more to the sound of Relativ than great ideas: Its outstanding production quality. 
Thanks to a professional audio engineer training the Serbian producer is capable of transcribing his colorful imagination into music of dazzling vividness.

Exploring the depths of Psytrance, just to shoot up straight into the uplifting heights of powerful Progressive Trance, Relativ takes his listeners on a surreal journey full of mind-bending turns. 
This frequently happens live in various scene hot spots around the globe. It also happens in form of Relativ's busy release schedule : After his debut album "Gates Of Perception", he is working industriously on new releases and keeping up with his creative agenda to always bring something new in his music.
He recently joined forces with Digital Om Productions from India, and he is also one of the founders of Serbia's new force in Psytrance - Transcape records.
