Young Guy was born in Joliet Illinois and moved to Decatur, Mississippi at the young age of 5.  Music  has been in stitched into his soul as far back as he can remember. During his teenage years, Young Guy teamed up with his neighborhood brothers formed a group known as D3.  They put their money together and built an in-house studio in a single wide trailer. D3 had a high success rate in the local and surrounding areas but never got their big break.  Despite this, Young Guy has never lost his itch for writing.
