Soundscape mix commissioned by Philip Huang’s INDIGO WORLD  research project, premiered at INDIGO WORLD's immersive public indigo dyeing installation taking place in the fields of Wonderfruit’s 2022 edition. 

Indigo dye, derived from the Indigofera Tinctoria plant, is a multi-faceted pigment part of the local indigenous culture in Northeastern Thailand. Used in tandem with textile-weaving cultures, the plant is harvested and made into a paste, which must be fed with vegetable waste and juice from the land, producing a long-lasting dye.

Weaving in field recordings from Sakon Nakhon, Northeast Thailand, with ambient tapestries, this is a nostalgic tribute to the complex histories of the plant.

Spanish producer Larsson delivers a deep and hypnotic 4-tracker for Fuxbau Records, marking his vinyl debut on the label. Written in the rural village where Larsson grew up, the EP carries a sense of groundedness and clarity. Created in his parents' home, surrounded by nature and far from urban distraction, the tracks reflect a setting where ideas unfold organically. The result is a tightly cut selection of groovy, rolling techno - stripped back, hypnotic, and full of tension. Number twenty two is nostalgic trip to the beachside Outro Lado stage at Waking Life, by my friend Sam (@billusmoon). Sam is a talented local producer and DJ who has been involved in an array of events and musical leanings in Melbourne over the last few years. He is a co-creator of @lifeworld and just released a beautiful tune on the new @mindmap_music compilation. 
I've been a big fan of Sam's taste for a while. His Jazzy, minimal and sometimes idm-y style is always emotionally reminiscent of musical moments we experienced at Waking life <3
