My set from the Grove 8:30-9:30pm between Sorsari and JPOD and Ibeyi. So grateful to have graced the stage with so many homies and world class acts. It felt right to be back at the Grove playing big sounds on the big rig. Went a little grimey on this one, fitting for some of the things transpiring in my life.

[ a journey of diversity ] 
When I put this mix together for my first Shams set, I felt really called to highlight a wide range of music that I've been loving. Although I love getting specific and creating a slow moving journey that way. There is power to be held in a set that takes you many places, while maintaining the continuity of a smooth journey altogether. I really wanted to communicate who I truly am as an artist. I love *so* much different music, so what better place then Shambhala to express that, to create a journey that isn't just one vibe. For those who were there, thank you for coming along on that journey with me. And for those who have yet to listen, come with an open mind.

Incorporating elements of higher tempo genres at half the speed and alternating between the rhythmic patterns of dancehall, hip-hop, and footwork creates the vibe that his mixes are both slow and fast at the same time. His unique blend of the aforementioned genres, in addition to 808 bass music and halftime drum n' bass is original and refreshing, and his flow and crate-digging abilities as a DJ are deeply impressive.
