Composer - Sound Artist

Inspired by nature and the sounds that surrounds us Marieke van de Ven explores the intersection between acoustic and electronic sound. She makes compositions, soundwalks, audio stories and podcasts. Over the years she established a repertoire of various multidisciplinary collaborations with choreographers, dancers and writers.

Shai Bat- Ami Grew up in Jerusalem to American Orthodox parents. Since early Childhood she sang in the "Ankor" children's choir and toured Europe with them as a soloist.
Later she gained a B. mus from the Jerusalem Ruben Academy as a vocalist and composer.
Shai has recorded recitals for " Voice of Music" -Israeli classical radio station and sung with major Israeli Orchestra's such as The Haifa Symphony Orchestra and The Rehovot Camerata as well as Caprizma Ensemble and Maktub- Israeli/ Arab ensemble.
She was the soloist for "Voices of the Levites" - a project commissioned by Jerusalem's Beit Avichai in which Ilan Green built original instruments based on descriptions in the bible and the group learned to play them and composed music based on traditional texts about music in first and second Temples in Jerusalem.
Shai also was the soloist of Ritmo Anima early music ensemble which will be releasing their debut album shortly.
For three years Shai performed all over Israel an adult education program of her own compositions based on Spain's "Golden age" poets Yehuda Halevi and Ibn Gavirol for the Israel center for Libraries. She moved to the US recently and is now living in San Fransisco.
Shai also performs her own songs in English under the name Avital Raz.
