As a lable Spa In Disco has already been featured on the Top 100 best selling releases in Beatport, Traxsource, Juno Download…. and other digital stores.

We take now another step forward with this website, which will feature a roster of our artists to suport their engagement and artistic development. You will also have the opportunity to listen to all the sessions and productions made for this label

Barcelona based music producer with a special focus on Nu Disco, Italo, Cosmic Disco-Funk and Balearic vibes, combining minimal groove sounds and 80s synths with the pure physical energy of club and dance floor sounds in his productions.
 
Ivan began his professional music career in 1994 in the Barcelona & Valencia underground scene being inspired by Chicago House and Detroit Techno and DJs like Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work, Larry Heard, Kenny Larkin, Kerry Chandler, Greg Wilson, Kevin Saunderson, Gilles Peterson.

As a DJ, he was one of those kids always aware of what the big brother usually do and one day his brother bought an old mixer and a pair of turntables and He had started to practice at home.

As a music producer Ivan made my great debut on Cosmos Records in 1999, home of Disco-Funk pioneers from Barcelona at that moment, under the name of Funk Star Brothers with a single and a remix for a Spanish Indie Pop band called “Manta Ray”. Previously he released his first vinyl recording on Contraseña Records, one of the best Valencia’s dance records in 1995 at the age of 15 under the name of Baby Dj’s Base, audio limitations on computer hardware was totally a tricky situation, From 2000 He started an Electronic Engineering Degree that it took him a while, so in his free time he developed a professional DJ career that led him to play in clubs from Valencia like 69 Monos, Loom, Rocolé, Dr.Slum among others.

His new songs features inspiring sounds from 80s synthesizers, that breathe to electronic beats and intoxicating grooves. All songs riding on Ivan's deeply emotive bass lines, finding their deepness in melodies and create an atmospheric feel.
 
The Funk-feeling is clearly the inspiration behind his sound. Iván Fabra skillfully mixes his wide music influences and demonstrates innovative efforts to offer interesting hybrids. It`s all about combining these styles with new effects meeting groovy beats. He is always searching for a timeless quality in music, creating atmospheres in his very own way in fusing deep, minimalistic and melodic tunes.
