@tooslowtodisco's Yacht Disco Edits series has been a real hit since it's inception back last February. To be fair though who wouldn't want to imagine they were sailing around the med on a yacht over the last year. 

Volume 3 of the series has just landed packed with all manner of blissful sun soaked downtempo gems

Fingerman Mix For The Disco Waltons Takeover on NDC Radio 2021

We've just about got over that heartbreaking extra time defeat in the euro finals to Italy and with a new week comes a new show to lift your spirits high!

Starting off this week with a rotation of 3 hot edits available only to Bandcamp from Sirs, Ron Basejam and Shaka Loves You. It really is 3 for the price of one for The Bandcamp Beat!

J Kriv & Dicky Trisco have a new cross Atlantic project titled Sentimental Animals and they mean business. With sounds influenced accross multiple continents, their debut wax release Sentimental Animals Vol 1 leaves us excited at whats coming next from them. Here we feature the explosive dance floor shaker, Track 3.

And we go from animals to monsters to close the show. The Monster Orchestra that is. With John Davis at the helm we sprinkle some Love Magic into your ears to leave you feeling good!

Ben Spalding, an endlessly creative DJ, producer and record label owner, is the man behind the PuzzleProjectsGroup.

PuzzleProjectsGroup is home to a number of mini brands dedicated to creative industries and creative arts. These include a 360-degree artist agency, the hugely successful online artist feature series & record label PuzzleProjectsMusic, plus the rapidly growing Nomadic party concept Puzzled. Underpinning all his work is Ben’s love and support for the underground music scene & the artists within it.

A Londoner now based in Norway, Ben has managed & performed at music events in 35 countries since 2012 including Coachella in California. As well as playing countless traditional parties in bars, clubs and beaches, he has DJ’d less conventional venues including abandoned rooftops, multi-storey car parks and boats. 2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as solo act bookings and Puzzled shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia.

While 2020’s schedule has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, plans are in place for a 2021 American tour including eight Puzzled shows in eight states alongside PuzzleProjectsMusic artists. Plus solo gigs either side in Mexico and Canada with repeat Europe & Asia tours to follow later in 2021.

Musically, Ben grew up on a diet of Motown, Soul and Disco from his Mum and classical music via his Dad, while in his teenage years he discovered the raw power of Hip Hop and Drum’n’Bass. His 20s were then a riot of Disco, House and Techno.

That musical upbringing informs his DJ sets. Ben doesn’t stick to one genre, preferring to play lengthy sets, starting with slow, soulful Boogie & beatdown classics and edits, moving into infectious Disco, Nu-disco and House territory before upping the tempo with various shades of deep, high-energy instrumental-led House and driving, hypnotic Techno. But like all good artists, Ben can adapt to every crowd, show and venue.

He meticulously hunts for lost classics and lesser-known productions. And adds depth and layers to his sets via acapellas, samples, film clips & other found sounds alongside a unique sample library recorded by bands, artists and musicians.

The musical journey is set to expand even further in the next year, with Ben releasing music under his own name and his pseudonym ‘Professor Puzzle’ plus an ongoing collaboration with one of Berlin’s top producers.

It may have been a pretty rubbish year in general, but Midnight Riot has done its best to keep us entertained via a wealth of disco and boogie-centric EPs. If you missed out on many of the label's 2020 treats, don't worry, because they've gathered together the best of their recent output on this epic compilation. Drawing on original nu-disco, revivalist disco, feel-good house, synth-heavy boogie sounds and gently tooled-up edits, highlights are predictably plentiful. Our picks include the summery soulful house goodness of 'Nothing But the Music (Hotevilla Mix)' by Platinum City, the nu-boogie brilliance of Qwestlife's remix of 'Savage' by Tommy Glasses, the loopy disco-house joy of Mottes 'The Horse Ride' and Yam Who's 'Full Vocal Mix' of Sam Shelley's sunshine disco number 'Groove It'.

We’re launching a new mix series, where we ask some of our most beloved DJ’s to add another dimension of our hotel music landscape. Our first guest is Ben Spalding.

@BenSpaldingOfficial is a highly creative DJ, Producer, Record Label Owner and the man behind PuzzleProjectsGroup - which includes @PuzzleProjectsMusic, @PuzzledParties and several other highly progressive underground brands.

A Londoner now based in Oslo, Norway, Ben has managed & performed at music events in 35 countries over the last decade including Coachella Festival in California. 

2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as bookings for him as a solo act and @PuzzledParties shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia.

While his 2020 touring schedule has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, plans are in place for mid-late 2021 which will see him go on a USA and Mexico tour followed by a return tour of Asia across Bali, Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong, Australia & New Zealand and a debut tour in South America and many more locations to be confirmed.

In March 2021 Ben will release the first of 4 x two-track House & Techno EP’s with the renowned Berlin-based Musician, Live act & Producer @RonaldChristoph.

Ben is also the man behind the sprawling PuzzleProjectsGroup, which operates several progressive concepts dedicated to music, artists & vibes including the chart-topping record label @PuzzleProjectsMusic, nomadic party concept @PUZZLEDParties, new record label @HOT-GROOVERS, and 360 business agency PuzzleProjectsCreate.

Renowned for working crowds with potent selections ranging through all shades of Disco, House, Minimal and Techno, Ben adds layers to his dynamic sets through his unique sample library of acapellas, sample and film clips recorded by himself and collaborating musicians.

2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as bookings for him as a solo act and PUZZLED shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia.

2021 saw Ben kick off with the release of 'The Ego Death EP' on @PuzzleProjectsMusic - created with German Musician and Live act @RonaldChristoph - the EP has been receiving great acclaim.

The rest of 2021 & into 2022 sees Ben release multiple EPs under his name and pseudonym ‘@ProfessorPuzzleOfficial’ on digital & vinyl on @PuzzleProjectsMusic. record label and go on tours of North & South America, Asia & Europe.
