ABOUT MUSTA
Musta's love for music begins very early, during the 11 years spent in the Dominican Republic. This encounter, made of Latin rhythms, starts the musical genre contamination that, to this day, distinguishes his productions. Lover of Funky, Disco, Boogie, Afro, and Tribal, his music portrays a fascinating mix of genres, intertwined in a fusion that combines the old and the new according to a personal reinterpretation, respectful of the past but constantly innovative.
Musta project is rhythm, is exploring, is experimenting: in his pieces, we find a powerful ancestral call, where drums and percussions mark the rhythm, combined with contemporary harmonies from Electronic, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and House music.
In 2018, together with internationally renowned DJ Stefano Rittieri, Musta founds the label Viaggio Recordings, responsible to this day for the production of four albums, both vinyl and digital. In 2019 “Mangiamo” is released, a fusion of vocals, Afro, Funk, sax, percussions, and bass, number one for several months in the Afro Latin Brazilian section of the Traxsource chart.
At the moment, Musta is working with some of the most important labels of the scene and with internationally and nationally prominent musicians of the House and Disco scene.

Welcome to That Disco Radio Show 018. It's a Bank Holiday here in the UK, the sun may not quite be shining but hopefully the great music on offer in this weeks show will keep you smiling! 

Edits are the theme of the day for the opening section of the show as we kick off with a small showcase of some of the amazing free music thats available out there if you go digging for it. Featuring music from HATT.D, Andy Buchan and Fingerman, all of which is followed up by a superb edit from Berlin-based production wizard Delfonic which is the focus for this weeks Bandcamp Beat

Recommended new releases for this week feature the likes of Hotmood, LeBaron James, Ken@Work and Addict Disc and labels such as Over The Top, See-Saw, Spa in Disco and theBasement Discos. We've also got brand new material from The Disco Express crew, with a new release from Campbell Pirrett that forms part of their new 'Best of 2021' VA comp. Elsewhere, look out for some fantastics vocals from both Worthy Davis on Jeremy Juno and TWISM's 'She Can Make Me Dance' and Sulene Fleming on Richard Earnshaws Revibe of 'Come To Me Again'

Slightly Transformed take centre stage for the Label Focus, co-founded by Chuggin Edits, the UK-based outfit have been releasing quality music for the last 7 years or so and we've featured records from Paul Older, Stephen Richards, Get Down Edits and Mannix

Soul Central pick up the slot for the Vinyl Exclusive with 'Your Smile', taken from the Days of Disco EP out on their own Electric Shrine imprint earlier this year before a classic of all Classic Closers from the legendary West End Records

Episode 75, the three quarter century, was a bit of a special one - it was broadcast on Valentine’s Day, which is also my birthday! Couldn’t resist slipping in a couple of loved up smoochers, but this episode was all about the promos really, with two new cuts from myself and some brand new heat from disco friends Pete Whitely, Pete Ellison, Jack Tennis, Shalvoy, Da Lukas, Robert Ouimet & Dave Godin and Mascott

As it was my birthday, I’d lined up an extra special guest for hour 2 - Michael Gray!!! Michael is a hugely respected and established British DJ and music producer, best known for his hits ‘The Weekend’ & ‘Borderline’ He is also one half of the dance music production and remixing duo 'Full Intention' who have been at the forefront of Dance music since the early 90s.

London-based Michael is one of the most in-demand Artists on the global dance music scene today. Having relaunched his solo career as Michael Gray in 2018 to pursue his original love of Disco, Michael has consistently placed in the top three house artists on Traxsource - an incredible achievement and a worthy accolade for Michael's world-class production skills. Throw into the mix awesome DJ sets at the best events in the UK, and a host of chart topping tracks with Jon Pearn as Full Intention, and you start to see the full picture of one of the UK's most talented Artists. He has DJ’d all over the world from MOS in London to Hi (for Glitterbox) & Pacha in Ibiza and as far and wide as Poland, Germany, The Philippines, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Georgia, Spain and The Netherlands.
