I have been thinking about it a lot and I have decided that DUFFDISCO007 is the last bootleg I am going to press to wax. It's been fun and I hope you all enjoyed them but I think it's the right time to stop. (you can order the last in the series here - http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/450211-01.htm)

I do however want to continue re-imagining songs and giving my interpretation of them for you to play and listen to and so i'll be giving the reworks away for free. I have set up a donations page if anyone wanted to help with covering the costs of mastering future tracks as i'd still want the best sound possible as I can't afford to be paying for it all myself.

So keep an eye out for new tracks! donate whatever you feel appropriate, of course you can still download if you can't afford to donate.

Blue skies and late nights, camp fires and cheap delights and whisky drained straight from the jar. In a hammock slung below a sky of dreams and sea of stars lay a pop princess and a hip hop pioneer, arms entwined and eyes locked into each other’s stare they whisper sweet –nothings to each other, “You’re flash” he says “take it slow” she purrs back “and don’t even don’t think about going down under!”
 
A mile or two out to sea, floats what has come to be known as a mega-yacht. Aboard his life like an episode of MTV Cribs but with more parties and less gold-encrusted pool tables. Surrounded by beauties by the bevy and sipping on gin and juice, Duff scans the horizon with his telescope (solid platinum, encrusted with diamonds, built in infa red) and spies young love or a new hope. Smiling to himself he thinks “they look different, younger perhaps at least changed, if not for the better but changed at least which is surely a good thing”. He turns to the girls on the boat, one hand pointing to the shore and the other raising his drink to the sky he shouts “I helped create that”

After his highly recommended Downbeat doublealbum „Tales from the City / Country“ in 2010, Tobitob comes back with a pocket full of new remixes in 2012.
Cram, Renegades Of Jazz, Marc ‘Dirty’ Deal, Chris Krawall, iGadget, Deja-Move, Apollo Lovemachine, Sebus and Tobitob himself reinterpreted and refreshed the music of the studio mastermind in their very own and unique style.

Deja-Move and Cram are starting up with their remixes, sounding like driving along a palmbeach on a hot summerday. Followed up by Tobitobs very own remix – a deep and excellent remake of the track „Horseback“. The entirely unreleased title „Mangare (2012 Re-Edit)“ reminds us a bit of a mixture between the „Nightridertheme“, Balkan and Electrobeats. A remarkable and strong technoid remix of „Ryhthm Rødsnek (w/ Fünf Sterne Deluxe)” was  delivered by Marc ‚Dirty’ Deal. Be surprised by the work and sound of Apollo Lovemachine, who follows his very own paths, remixing „First Sunrise (w/ DJ Coolmann (Visit Venus))“ in an avantgarde kind of way. Further journeys into Jazz or Deep House as well as Chris Krawall’s Electro orientated music are showing up the wide range of influences that are united on this remix album, ending up in a Dubstep remix by iGadget, who is showing us what the word ‚soundcollage’ can mean.

All in all this album grew into a strong, outstanding, modern and ambitioned electronic record, a must for all fans of Tobitob’s music or for those who want to get addicted to it.

The Doors - Break On Through (Derrok Remix)

Santino Surfers walks the sunny latitudes of guitar music legacy to concoct an amorphous blend of chilled-out, soulful, and melodically lavish material. Imagine twangy 60’s black and white guitars splashed with neon color and dusty country rock curls in distorted gleam.

The ‘surf’ sound is prevalent throughout the work (hence the name), setting the dial at laid back, grooving and liberated moods that probe the frontiers of the psychedelic. The music is mostly instrumental with occasional visits by vocals and vocoders.

‘Three Corners One View’ is the second single. It sits comfortably bopping on an upbeat break, steady bass waving while guitars paint sweet and dreamy figures in the afternoon sky.
