[SPA140] TONY DISCO - Take Your Time

Tropical Disco Records rolls out more of their sun kissed goodness on an impressive 21st volume of their self-titled series. As always there is a devious selection of disco dons taking charge of the course cuts, with Dominic Balchin getting the party started with big trumpet stabs and soul train grooves. Da Lukas slows things down and goes for a more deep, swinging cut with his 'Get Disco Vibes' and then scene veteran Moodena's 'Who Got The Keys?' gets more jazzy, with some fantastic keys and funky bass. Toby O'Connor closes out with a steamy and romantic slow jam, and in doing so rounds out an EP packed with the sort of positive vibes we all need right now.

Another week, another absolute musical moment from the Tropical Disco camp who keep up their golden July run in some style. This week's  offering comes from Brazilian producer Rafael Yapudjian who has been on fire recently with a string of hotness coming courtesy of Midnight Riot, Super Spicy, Mango and Spa In Disco.

Daje Funk has become a real go to label if you love a modern take on classic funk which has been meticulously recrafted to work for today's dancefloors. There have been some real moments on the label already De Gama, Massimo Berardi, DJ Rocca and some of the finest producers out there today working in the disco and edits scenes.

Their latest release is the Slam Dunk EP and the name hits the nail right on the head. It's most definitely a musical slam dunk with four tracks from across the funk spectrum as an all-star cast of producers Ronny Hammond, Shit Hot Soundsystem, Uptown Funk and Coldbeard all take turns to vie for dancefloor gold.

Our premier today is Ronny Hammond’s ‘Keep On Groovin’ and it’s a very serious club track featuring a classic "where do I know that from" vocal sample.
