SlothBoogie’s Editz imprint returns late May for its tenth release, entitled ‘Routines’ and coming courtesy of Berlin based label regular Joe Cleen.

Berlin’s Joe Cleen has been releasing his signature twist on contemporary disco over the past few years via Jazz Cabbage, Repsies and of course SlothBoogie where he returns here. On top of his production output Cleen has also been a regular at some of his home turf’s most respected venues such as Salon zur Wilden Renate, Farbfernseher, Crack Bellmer, Beate Uwe and more...

SlothBoogie : ‘’ We’re celebrating our 10th Editz release with another astonishing EP of heavy reworks from Joe Cleen. A l’origine, Simca Rose fait partie des 7 titres du premier EP de Ray Mason Abe, Groundworks, sorti à l’été 2021. La version retravaillée de ce single transporte l’auditeur dans une dimension bien propre à l’artiste dont les fondations se sont sensiblement étoffées. Les basses fréquences sont harmonieusement puissantes, les lignes de synthé rétro donnent une touche vintage presque intemporelle, et les build-ups cinématiques créent une tension électrisante. Cette création explosive nous ramène à la synth pop des années 90, soutenue par des rythmes breakbeat et techno pour un groove particulier et efficace.

@frapperecords have been making some great noise over the last couple of years, hitting the ground running with a superb stream of EP's from label heads @basiledesuresnes & Ten Fingerz along with some great V/A 12"s featuring some of the most essential French talent around.

Their latest release is a rather brilliant triple tracker from Basile featuring this monstrous hypnotic dubbed out string-laden disco house alongside the classic house vibes of Wot U Think and the rather funky disco chop up I Gotta Find You.

All three tracks are serious heat so the purchase of this EP should be a bit of a no brainer.
