There’s something raw and restless about the groove on Da Lukas & Di Martino's Butter Track, a cut that moves like it was built in the after-hours but destined for the prime-time floors. Italian producer Da Lukas reconstructs the sound of analog Disco sound, piece by piece, pressing the weight of history and fusing it with everything essential for future dance floors.

At its heart, Butter Track is a hypnotic ride, dripping with a silky jazz-funk elasticity that calls to mind the great sessions of the late ’70s. Giovanni Di Martino’s piano work dances across the top with casual brilliance, teasing out rhythms that ripple through the arrangement.
