Remix duties come courtesy of Waifs & Strays (Hot Waves, Futureboogie) and Mark Jenkyns (Hot Creation, Dogmatik) 

Waifs & Strays have delivered not just one, but two amazing remixes!

Their first take has a heavy grooving bassline, nicely rounded warm sub, hypnotic synth, tight rolling bottom end and the trademark heavy destruction style, that's pure Waifs & Strays!

The Desert Dub is basically stripped back desert grooves, something which can only be described as future music, incorporating snippets of vocal, to bring yet another cut that is firmly rooted in the underground.

The track has already had heavy support and big name DJ interest, after being a key track at Burning Man!

Mark Jenkyns has created yet another masterpiece with this remix - its dark back room vibe is driven by the controlled bassline and filtered synth stab. Great use of vocal gives the groove space to move around, creating a mind set some might call, er, drug music!!

Mark has been playing in Ibiza all summer at the famous Paradise @DC10, serving up a healthy dose of the feel good factor with his choice track listings!

Pete Tong made his debut on Suara in September 2014. For this release called 'The Bumps', Pete had teamed up with his friend John Monkman. It was to be a juicy melodic tune. The influence of John Monkman could be felt heavily on the title track, derived from earlier Monkman releases on Get Physical, Armada, Warung or Anjunadeep. The original cut came backed with a remix from Pleasurekraft, who turned it into a peak-time stormer.

After a year, Suara is coming out with a remix package of the original, presenting some more household names this time: Moby, Suara boss Coyu and Julian Jeweil.

Chopstick & Johnjon’s Berlin based Suol label follow up their balmy Summer Daze collection with an equally warming EP from label stalwarts Ulrich Harrison and Marlon Hoffstadt a.k.a Tender Games.

Having had a busy summer including live shows at a slew of international festivals the artful pair offer up their ‘Notion’ EP: a 4 track collection of gently ambling rhythms and heart-rending melodicism.

Relating to themes of love, selfishness and disconnection - the title track, of which we premiere exclusively here, kicks things off. A cyclical guitar motif paves the way for a buoyant thud and syncopated shuffles before a gently flexing synth pattern emerges. Swooning and snaring vocals are spread and reverberated before ‘Walking On’ is formed upon a theme of altruism. Purring organ tones and patterning tambourines interweave ahead of an arresting Rhodes motif before urgency is added through the injection of layered synths and additive percussion.

‘Collided’ - Tender Games’ collaboration with vocalist Mulay then sets grooving, scuzzy drums under a rich and sultry croon. Warped synth lines and skipping, off-grid hat patterns push progress forwards in a song about instant and impulsive connection. ‘Nimbus’ then blooms gradually behind stuttering synth tones and soft, allaying chord changes. A darting and purposeful groove drives in from underneath before flickering melodies dart in to cap off another fine addition to Suol’s ever-evolving catalogue.

THEMA 8.21 - Tilman:

Our latest find comes from Mainz, Germany. Heading up the boutique imprint, klamaukº, Tilman Schwarz has been a mainstay of the local underground house scene for some time. His intimate parties are warm and well regarded, holding their own amidst the noise from nearby Frankfurt. He has released tracks from various European artists like Frivolous, Leif, and Thema compadres Le K and Ark, but this will be his first solo showcase. His sound is distinctly polished but lively, drawing from various dance music sub-genres as a means to an end rather than simply an exercise or homage. These six tracks span a wide breadth of styles within house music giving the feel of a mini album. We're happy to have Tilman on Thema Digital for his debut EP—it's a deep and tuneful dance floor journey so get comfy.

Sunrise set roller, Morning Snuggle kicks the EP off with a traditional piano refrain and smooth bassline that unfolds into some vibes and funky monosynth jamming for a simultaneously laid back and upbeat experience. Lenny's After-Party Mood ratchets tempo down a bit with taut bass and some nice piano treatments setting the stage for some expansive background synth work in the second half. Tilman heads to deeper chunkier realms on title track Alphaville, where he sets a bittersweet melody against a chugging rhythmic pulse and long sustained synth drones. Moon Walk continues in a lighter more Chicago-eque vein but with a more offbeat refrain—just a little bit bent. Closing it out, Low Tide is a beautiful little number that had some downright romantic strings set against a pumping drum track and a "Loft-style" bass line. As a special bonus, we've included a pitched-down heavy version of Low Tide (AOB CIty Remix). The strings are still there, but are wound around a booming low end and stuttering percussion for a more angular and satisfyingly oblique dance floor experience.

Tilman - Low Tide

YNK's third EP for Tenderpark sends us straight to Dub House heaven with the lush and chord driven deepness of “Paradigms Lost”. Just as dreamy as it's thrilling, the track perfectly illustrates YNK's highly musical approach to House which he further underlines with “Colorit” on the flip side: This fresh and funky piece of music is overflowing with Philly Soul Rhodes pianos and vocals. So Philly lover no. 1 Drei Farben House obviously just had to contribute a remix in which he carves out the classic harmonies of the original and adds an ultra funky Disco groove. Also, with this release our third artwork series draws to a close.

Its here 00.4 the latest release from one of the UK's fastest rising labels Dilate Records. Remixes come courtesy of Inxec (Crosstown Rebels & My Favorite Robot) & Max Chapman (Hot Creations). 

Inxec delivers a peaktime trippy remix with a driving feel, lots of focus being on the groove and hypnotic melodies which tend to touch more the intimate, more personal side of things. 

Max Chapman brings us two remixes one of which is a slow terrace mix ideal for summer with a standard rooftop vibe, and the other being a strong more house style dub mix, for those who don't like to many vocals. Another very strong package not to be missed!

Dilate Records catalogue has reached "00.5" and continues to showcase new talent from all around the world, this time welcoming head of Midnight Social Recordings - Carlo Gambino.

Remix duties for the package come courtesy of Denney (2020 Vision, Hot Waves) & Ceri (Hot Creations). 

Denney's remix has a deeper feel to it, using his trademark bassline, spacey stabs and futuristic effects inbetween well placed vocals, this remix is musical heaven!

Ceri delivers what can only be described as a DC 10 Terrace BOMB! Think sunny daytime terrace vibe with driving percussion and stripped back vocals building throughout the track.
