Cititrax proudly presents a new project called An-i, the latest musical moniker for Berlin based former New Yorker Doug Lee. Doug has been DJing and producing records for the last decade under various aliases and collaborations. The Kino-i EP will be the debut release and home for An-i, a showcase of his love affair with machines. It fronts a hard hitting sound beyond category, moving from techno to jack to punk and to noise. It suggests an anything goes attitude perhaps dictated more by the will of machines themselves then any author. The record is pressed on 160 gram fluorescent yellow vinyl and housed in a high gloss black and white sleeve. Note: US release accompanied by full b+w newsprint poster.

No longer an obscure name, Weiss hit the charts with ‘My Sister’ being played by everyone from Loco Dice to Groove Armada. As with this track, his mix on ‘Toolroom Live 01’ is created by and for the lover of real House music, referencing the past and looking to the future. Featuring tracks by the likes of MK, Hot Since 82, Harry Romero, Bontan, Tube & Berger and Doorly, alongside a brand new exclusive from Weiss himself, ‘I Believe’, this is a mix that’s all about craftsmanship; it’s about the emotions that the tracks evoke; it’s about a great passion for House music. 

At the other end of the spectrum, Adrian Hour is no stranger to this ethos. Well regarded by the likes of Carl Cox and the Suara team for his jaw dropping productions, he infuses his tracks and Toolroom Live mix with an indescribable quality. Adrian Hour deftly weaves his way through the many shades of techno, incorporating new tracks from Pirupa, Erik Hagleton and Coyu & Ramiro Lopez, as well as huge exclusives from himself, D-Unity, Montenegro and more.

Finally, Mark Knight ties the album together with his ability to make memorable main room House music and his talent for creating moments that are reminisced about for months, even years, after the event – and this is the focus of his Toolroom Live mix:

Although the two are geographically very far apart, Silent Servant based in Los Angeles, US and Broken English Club based in London, UK, the two share a similar outlook and musical approach. Both projects have been on the rise lately, and stem from a strongly rooted techno background. Combining their influences of dance music, techno, EBM, industrial and post-punk, Silent Servant and Broken English Club offer a new breed of EBM infused techno wave on the Violence And Divinity EP. They artfully create music that works both on and off the dance floor, infusing a dark atmospheric mood with addictive, pulsating rhythms. Themes of love, death, modernity and automobile crashes appear throughout this EP from the music itself right through to the cover art and one of a kind vinyl pressing. Limited edition vinyl pressing of 999 copies, first 500 copies are pressed on black inside milky clear vinyl, housed in a matte printed sleeve. The release features a new Filterheadz version showcasing all the elements in a powerful 2015 version plus 2 smoking remixes by techno top names Uto Karem and The Advent &amp; Spiriakos.

Tomaz & Filterheadz - Los Hijos Del Sol (Uto Karem Remix) [Loopglow]

Chicago duo Streetwalker, comprised of molecular biologist Beau Wanzer (Mutant Beat Dance/L.I.E.S) and electronic music aesthete Elon Katz (White Car/Hippos in Tanks), wrote their debut album ‘Future Fusion’ over the course of two years. Through endless experimentation and analog improvisation, they have constructed an entirely new sound showcasing vibrant hand-played synthesizer, vulnerable vocals, and serpentine drum lines. 
Streetwalker’s distinct song structures are characterized as much by restraint, timing, and subtle shift as by the cyclic abandon of the loop. Having recorded the entire album over one humid weekend in the Chicago studio, Minbal, the duo’s recording process mirrored this tension. Much like a rock record, each track was recorded entirely live to 1 inch tape - no overdubs, no MIDI programming - and then painstakingly mixed with digital precision during the six months that followed.
In line with this principle of handcrafted reconfiguration, artwork for the LP was produced in collaboration with digital artist Spencer Longo (IMG Masters/The Jogging), who harvested images and textures from Wanzer’s extensive collection of classic sci-fi and horror editorial to construct an anachronistically futuristic interface.
