Pink Floyd - Marooned

Taken from the DEBUT ALBUM from the Brighton four-piece. Most of the tracks were recorded, old-school style, in just two days, with the band playing live in the recording studio. So each song is a performance – a moment in time. And space. Flawed but honest. 

On this song, for example, only the vocoder was added, by christopher, in the studio to the live performance. His improvised vocoded words in the breakdown – 'Something like that? Something like that?' were intended as a question to his bandmates – a suggestion of how the part could sound. But it sounded so good they kept it!

This gorgeous, symphonic ballad – a hymn to introversion – is a nod to early Elton John and Pink Floyd's Rick Wright, featuring beautiful piano and vocals from Alfonso Cavassa, and soaring guitar and lyrics from christopher rye. Taken from 'DIVE!', out 5 June.

Let The Colours Shine

Album track from 'DIVE!' (out 5 June), written and sung by bassist Allan Wiseman, featuring lead guitar by christopher rye (who also produced the song). Band trivia: christopher added (and sang) the line "but not for me!" as his response to hearing the title was "NO IT ISN'T!" Unusually, the gorgeous sounding lead guitar was recorded using a Chapman ML3 instead of christopher's Strat.
