Joe Laf’s musical experience as a freelance guitarist/singer ranges anywhere from 50’s style rock & roll, country, jazz, blues, rock, hard rock and funk to new-age pop both live and in the studio. Over the years Joe has played for many artists including Kate Alexa, Normie Rowe and Adam Harvey and has supported major acts such as J-Lo, Jimmy Barnes and Thirsty Merc. Joe has also performed in some of Australia's greatest venues including Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, Sydney's Allphones Arena, Crown Casino, Federation Square and has also played internationally.

Lazarus Mode are set to shake up the world with the release of their upcoming debut album, 'The Darkest Sun'.

They have been building momentum and making waves in their homeland of Australia, with high octane live performances, and a catalog of prior releases (which have been rotated in stations all across the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK). You've probably already seen one of their eye-catching music videos on YouTube.

Behind the curtain, the gents have been working diligently on an album of raw passion, produced alongside Ermin H (Periphery, Elm Street, Vanishing Point). At the time of recording, the band found themselves without a permanent drummer, so singer Jake James enlisted the help of Jeff Consi (Nuno Bettencourt, Mourning Widows, The Badloves) to track drums for the album. Jake says, "I knew how challenging the parts were, and only someone of Jeff's experience could nail them perfectly, while also bringing something magical to the overall performances".

With the 12 track album now complete, the band are ready to hit the road with their final line-up in place.

My acoustic cover of Duran Duran's classic 80s pop song "planet earth".
Always loved this song and it was an interesting experiment to break it down to an acoustic version with electronic embellishment.....and for once I think it suits my voice.
I've explored space themes in my own music several times so the recording and arranging process came pretty quickly for this one.
