I’ve been sitting on this way too long. In 2024, I attended Sunsets and Shadows @sunsets-shadows and met so many people who are now my Reno family. Fast forward to 2025 summer and I was asked to play the first sunrise. The assignment: “deep dark and groovy” is the sound of the event. But 6am. So I took that as a challenge to create a journey of something that has two layers of deep dark and groovy, and light and optimism. This is one of my favorite sets I’ve done and I hope you enjoy it too!

Recorded from the silent disco outside of public works. It was the most backed I'd ever seen it outside with Nurse Noise and WokR on the two channels.

A peak-time one-hour set recorded live at the Burning Man Denver Decompression event (2025), performed as Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton.

This mix has a raw intensity to it – genre-crossing with driving basslines, twisted grooves, and cinematic edges – designed for full throttle lift-off. 

It was such a fun night to be a part of. I've been part of the extended Burning Man community for over 15 years now and it's always an honour to share what I do with so many beautiful, creative souls.

At long last I am finally sharing my epic impromptu closing set on the Luna Stage at UnScruz 2025 – the lineup was only programmed until 3AM but everyone wanted to keep the party going so I jumped in and delivered! This fun set is full of feel good jams, two original collabs and an apropos closer of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" to pay homage to this year's Cosmic Odyssey theme. Haunted Mansion was a blast! 3 rooms of beats and Halloween vibes in a fantastic venue with the best crowd in the Bay Area! 

At first I was working on a dark breaks and electro set for Haunted Mansion, but then I saw our line up—Fort Knox Five, Mancub, and I were b2b2b in the 200 Channels room of the party. And of course there was only one thing to do... I did a quick pivot from the dark side to the funky side! This set's a bunch of new and old disco and funk remixes, plus some flipped gems I've been sitting on, and a few Halloween classics. Enjoy! - 8b

The latest chapter in the CHPTR series took place on Saturday 8th November in San Francisco.
 
Definitely not one I'll forget as we decided to drive there from Denver at the last minute to avoid airport issues during the protracted government shutdown ... a round trip of 2800 miles with some absolutely splendid conversation and scenery en route.

The VOID system in the basement of Monarch was a joy to play on, and the packed house bought the vibes once again as only San Francisco can!
