A mainstay of the club scene and DJ life for the better part of 25 years, Charlotte NC's Rex Dasteppa (aka Lorin Wade) has a very distinct and diverse djing style that pulls from all genres and emotions of music and puts the listener on a complete mix of heavy riddims, ghetto, house, and broken beats.  

Having held many residencies over the years at some of the country's most prestigious nightclubs,  with his ever evolving versatility, has given him the opportunity to open for and share the stage over the decades with a who's who of electronic artists and Djs including Orbital, DJ Craze, Carl Cox, Roni Size, Rabbit in the Moon, Hardkiss Brothers, and Dynamix II just to name a few. 

Rex Dasteppa is the owner and director of respected boutique dance label Base Industry Records, where he spends his time looking for fresh and talented artists, and has worked with Lowfreak, Nina Wilde, Freq Boutique, Move Ya, Stephen Cole, Rick Tedesco and more.

As a producer, he holds original and remixing credits for artists like Agent K, J-Break, Charlie P, Plex Long, and more, seeing releases on Digital Records, Rewind,  Abstract Logic, Twijit, BasicLux, as well as his label Base Industry.

The Stanton Warriors have discography about as long as my arm ! Consisting of Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley, the duo have performed internationally with their infamous Stanton Sessions parties in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Their name was taken from a manhole cover, made by Stanton Ironworks, which seemed fitting with their style of underground, cutting edge music.

Still touring globally today the duo have cemented themselves in EDM history and known worldwide with over 1 million Facebook fans, their own label Punks Music and a continued devotion to the Breaks and Bass scene.

This is a direct studio promo mix that i managed to get my hands on back in 2008.

To me the Plump DJs were at the forefront in the early Nuskool Breaks scene back in the 2000's, leading the way with new  innovative tunes and tight DJs mixes of some very underground music at that time. Lee Rous and Andy Gardner make up the duo that is the Plump DJs with over 20 years experience in the game and while the breaks musical style has changed over the years they are still touring and producing great music till this day.

This mix was made for Futurized Radio back in 2005.

Enjoy this live recording of the Plump DJs (Grand Hotel Recordings) from the Space Cowboys' 13th annual Breakfast of Champions in San Francisco on New Year's Day. The Plumps were a surprise, unannounced addition to the line-up this year and to the delight of an unsuspecting crowd, they lit up the Funktion One stage as the sun was setting on yet another epic B.O.C. Big thanks to Lee and Andy for rocking Breakfast of Champions and for making this recording available to The RIPEcast. We hope you like it!

Plumps DJs are internationally renown UK DJ/Producer duo Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, whose passion for innovation and non-conformist attitude to electronic music has fuelled their fire for over a decade.
