After the very successful foray into split EPs, Luv Shack Records continues to explore this concept with LUV013. The EP sees upcoming duo Space Echo make a return after their smash hit "Soul Power", while the B-side is conducted by Wahlberliner ROTCIV.

"Come Back Home", the opening track by Space Echo, is a slowly building but effortlessly captivating piece of hypnotic house music with a raw funk attitude. The gently evolving synth line and the strong vocal hook are the spine of this anthemic track.

The seemingly laid back "Hangover" just oozes b-movie sleaze and might be Space Echos little hommage to 60's lounge music, with an array of distorted guitars and soft pads coming to good use. That is until the synth theme kicks in mid-track and turns the piece into a late night weapon.

The mix of repetitive rhythm patterns and chants performed by local legends like Hernando Hernandez is an integral part of the huge soundsytem culture that takes place in the streets of Cartagena. It is so good to see the Cómeme's resident back on the road with this excellent release!

Touted as the next Lindstrom, Third Attempt is the production moniker of Torje Fagertun Spilde, a 22 year old artist and DJ based in Tromsø. A natural fit for Beatservice' left-field take on cosmic disco and wonky house, Third Attempt's album 'World Is Too Loud' continues with his signature style of funk and disco, jazz and deep house . Here we feature 'Transit'; an organic slice of downbeat jazzy grooves. Shuffling drums and slick live elements combine for a smokey, bluesy affair. A key fixture in the record bags of DJs throughout the past few decades, best known for their unforgettably odd house anthem ‘He Not In’, it’s been some years since Andy Meecham and Dean Meredith last collaborated as Chicken Lips. As such, it’s with no little delight that Phantasy welcomes them back into the fold with one of their most mind-bending tracks yet, accompanied by a remix from a fellow stalwart of the underground, DJ Sotofett.

Instant and assured, ‘Goldenlips’ unrolls like licorice over ten blissful minutes, mining an undercurrent of post-acid house euphoria into a dreamy analogue jam-turned-trip, a soft and rhythmic vision of dancefloor euphoria that demonstrates a mastermind session of tension and release from two individuals with decades of experience in tipping dancefloors upside-down.

On the flip, DJ Sotofett continues to deliver the unexpected with a more truncated but no less compelling ‘Golden Funk’ mix. Suddenly rolling back the musical clock to the sun-drenched West Coast of the mid-nineties, the result is an oozing, bottom-heavy rework so delicious, it might even have united Puffy and Snoop.

Off the back of their sold out album, Daniele Baldelli & DJ Rocca are set to release a limited run 12" featuring remixes of the highest order. 'Complotto Geometrico', 'Space Scribble' & 'A TV Show' are the tracks of choice, remixed by none other than Andy Weatherall, Prins Thomas and Luke Solomon respectively.

The Weatherall remix initiates with a gentle bounce. The synth lines begin to peak and trough whilst back-drafted guitar riffs ring home around the affected vocal sample that oozes in. A subtle cybernetic atmosphere builds around the melodic rhythm which in turn ebbs and flows through out. It’s seeping with that Weatherall magic, making it perfect for any time of night. 
After his previous collaborations with Lindstrom et. al. we we're very excited to see what Prins Thomas would conjure up for this remix. Cosmic energy instantly emanates from the mix, giving a lighter vibe to the melodic depth that the Weatherall mix delivered. It boasts slightly more acidic elements that switch the dancefloor mentality from 'steady groover' to 'floor-mover.'

To finish, Luke Solomon provides a weirdo-disco rendition, full of elastic synth work, a bumping house groove and plenty of raw soul. Probably the more energetic of the three, Solomon proves that he deserves his place as Disco House royalty.

In Space, it has been said, no-one can hear you scream, yet if you listen carefully you will hear a distinct Space Echo.
The two gentlemen behind this Space Echo ( est: 2013 ) are the Austrian artists caTekk & Lee Stevens and within their echo are elements of classic 70ties, 80ties Disco & New Wave with just a touch of John Carpenter and, of course, this Space Echo is re-produced by their trusty robot friend Roland.
Epic in their production layout, their music contains all the ingredients one needs for the work out on the dancefloor, at the same time a layered structure of the art of DJing can and should be noticed. The element of surprise, an important factor in all good DJ sets, is obvious in their productions. Their production and live set up is a combination of both old school analogue and new day digital with caTekk standing for pefectionism behind the machines whilst Lee Stevens adds Space Echo`s distinct, polished roughness.
The music from Space Echo has indeed left an echo in the online world: No.1 in the Juno charts with their tune "Soul Power" for over 3 months, this piece of music is one of Juno`s top 5 ever selling House tunes. On the Austrian Radio station FM4, their remix for Austra´s "Home" also reached #1 in FM4s weekly music charts.
Space Echo have already performed in L.A , Berlin ( Wilde Renate ) and at the Frequency Festival in St.Polten, Austria . Musically, an Austrian duo with one ear in the past and one ear pointing towards the future, something unique to look out for in the coming months.
