Astros de Mendoza, formed in México in october 2012 by Alan Olivas “Pirul” and Diego H. “D2000”, by exploring a huge variety of tropical and electric sounds from all around the world. 

Astros de Mendoza presents the first official album of remixes to Los Mirlos mythical banda from Peru. 

After start a beautiful friendship on the 2017 European tour in which some shows shared the stage, the idea was born of making this material together with several friends who are producers of the new electropical wave from different parts of the world to honor 47 years of career of the creators of the psychedelic cumbia.

El dúo mexicano, Astros de Mendoza, conformado por Alan Olivas “Pirul” y Diego H. “D-2000”, fue creado en octubre del 2012, al explorar una gran variedad de sonidos tropicales orgánicos y electrónicos del mundo. 

Astros de Mendoza presenta el primer disco oficial de remixes a Los Mirlos mítica Banda de Peru. 

Después de hacer una linda amistad en el tour de europa 2017 en el que compartieron escenario algunos shows, nace la idea de hacer este material junto a varios amigos productores de la nueva ola electropical de diferentes partes del mundo para honrar 47 años de carrera de los creadores de la cumbia psicodélica.

Latin and Caribbean rhythms (Cumbia? Reggae?) blended with vintage synths tweaking, a unique ability to fuse folk music with electronic elements; all of multi-instrumentalist Dutch producer Solo Moderna can be found in “Pongolongo”; a perfect opening to his forthcoming album “Daïsm”, which was mostly composed with female singer Krage, who effortlessly sings in a delicious mix of English, French, Spanish, Jamaican Patois, Quechua and self-made language. Together, they found their very own way of expressing their love for nature and diversity through universal language.
Pioneer of the “Global Bass” movement of the 2000s, Jazzdance music and Balkan Beats, with three albums and numerous remixes to his credit, signed to labels such as Tru Thoughts or Agogo, the Dutch producer has now reached the next level of mastering the fusion of genres.
Featured many times on BBC6 Music, Le Mellotron and more, his highly entertaining music, combined with a good dose of humour is most appreciated in Japan and the UK, and a tour is to be announced with his recently formed four-piece band for the release of the album.
From the 16 tracks of the album, 10 have been selected to be pressed on a vinyl illustrated by renowned Colombian artist Saga Uno.

Dengue Dengue Dengue continue expanding their carefully created aesthetic on their new album ‘Zenit & Nadir’ by diving into the deep and rich musical history of Afro-Peruvian music, already hinted in the first single ‘Ágni’, which is the inversion of the traditional Afro-Peruvian rhythm Ingá. The ongoing exploration of the vast and rich musical heritage of the descendants of the former African slaves in Peru has become the main focus of their new album. 

Their interest in Afro-Peruvian music has led them to meet and record extensively with several members of the Ballumbrosio family, a renowned musical dynasty in Peru that has kept Afro-Peruvian musical traditions alive, masters of rhythms like landó, festejo and crioullo music, with traditional dances and instruments such as the iconic quijada - a rattling percussive instrument made out of a donkey’s jawbone. 

The introduction of live recordings with the Ballumbrosio brothers has given a whole new dimension to their always-expanding sound, and they feature extensively all throughout the album. As they were such an integral part of the recording process it made perfect sense that they would contribute to expand Dengue Dengue Dengue’s memorable audiovisual performance as well, and have began playing live shows together this year. The marriage between the traditional and organic percussion of the Ballumbrosios with DDD’s hypnotic electronic production has created a whole new chapter for the band. 

After debuting in 2012, they established themselves as a driving force in the thriving South American digital cumbia scene, but have since expanded their hybrid approach to music to introduce more references such as kuduro and zouk - and more recently the above mentioned Afro-Peruvian styles - which they fuse with traditional Latin American rhythms to build a sonic identity that is hypnotic and dark, while simultaneously festive and life-affirming. 

With the band being a visual project as much as a musical one, their carefully created aesthetic can be immediately noticed in the iconic masks they wear, often referencing traditional or indigenous elements while being artful and futuristic, a striking visual representation of their approach to music. Their new masks, which are being debuted on their upcoming tour, were handcrafted by Barcelona-based artists Twee Muizen.

Canción para un amigo EP marca la primera entrega del encuentro de Cerrero con El León Pardo, gaitero y trompetista figura de culto en la escena musical colombiana conocido por su trabajo con proyectos como Velandia y la Tigra y Ondatropica. 

 El dub criollo de Cerrero, minimalismo etéreo y crudo logrado a partir del uso de una consola análoga como instrumento, es un viaje por un universo de samples, reverberaciones y eco que exploran la raíz del sonido latinoamericano desde la electrónica. Sonido tosco y meditabundo, percusión ritual y lamento se mezclan en una suerte de hechizo en donde la repetición es a la vez baile y nostalgia. 

Las tres canciones presentadas en Canción para un amigo EP cuentan la historia del encuentro de estos dos músicos, sus sesiones de creación en el estudio de Llorona Records y un acercamiento a la producción electrónica a partir de la grabación y mezcla espontánea en vivo.

Llorona Records´ founder Diego Gómez, producer behind the Dub de Gaita series and De mar y río by Canalón de Timbiquí, continues exploring the possibilities of Colombian roots music trough the lens of dub and electronic music in Cerrero his personal project. The result is what he calls “Dub criollo”, hypnotic sorcery, raw and ethereal minimalism, a journey to timeless ancient sounds through echoes, reverbs, sampling and dub mixing techniques.

Canción para un amigo EP is the first release of original material written by Cerrero alongside El “León” Pardo, a cult gaita flute and trumpet player known for his work with Velandia y la Tiara and Ondatrópica. The four tracks included tell the story of the two musicians creating and recording live in the Llorona Records studio as an spontaneus approach to electronic music.

French Dj and Producer, AkaAtso /SpaceJockey or Rudolph D-I-P, has been an active member of the southeast electronic music .
He started his career being resident DJ in several clubs of his hometown Grenoble in the late 90's. In 2000 he was the cofounder of the electronic DJ crew "ICONE", with which he organized more than a hundred parties in Southeast France (Grenoble, Lyon, Marseille), playing with Artists such as Thomas Schumacher, Laurent Garnier, Thomas Heckman, The Hacker, Manu le Malin, Electric Indigo... He can play horror disco,rock psych soul abrasive or Nowave and electro n pure techno 4 mix or live on Space-Jockey; he would more likely mix both and make it sound Disco house : the diversity of the music styles he mixes and his virtuosity behind the decks are his trademark. Now established in Paris and Grenoble, He is sharing his time playing in different clubs, bars and even boats, and working on his forthcoming Live!!,under the name SpaceJockey coming Spring 2016.
2020 is a new deal!!Epock is a new project around the African and Diasporick sounds/ composition/live and mix!!
