I ran 4 synthesizers on 5 channels, 1 drum machine, and 1 microphone through a 12 channel mixer into an audio interface and pressed record in my DAW.

Live hardware jammage. I was recording video for the first 4 min. It gets better when I can use both my hands to play.

Since 1996 era vulgaris, Thelemic Laboratory, under one guise or another has been assembling noize experiments with broken gadgets, weird sound recordings, cut-ups, tape loops, minidisc hacking, 4 track wizardry, software wizardry, and lots of little live accidents that get added into the new DNA strand to be replicated again and again, mulled over and meditated on, smeared across countless pitri dishes, and often displayed in video, using some of the same tricks and chaometry, and coming out with a seemingly endless supply of data, sort of like this sentence...

ako (Simeon Soden) infuses influences from obscure elements of electronic & dance music, including vaporwave & witchhouse, with experimental IDM. When performing, ako creates AV experiences using VHS, CGI & modified games consoles. He has released music on Sunset grid (Aus.), SPRIX (USA), N-aut, Nothing but, HOT-Q & Kaneda Records and has been played on BBC6 Music.
