As I settled into my favourite armchair on a lazy Sunday morning, the warm scent of roasted almonds, just out of the oven, wafted through the air, mingling with the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The sun streamed through the windows, casting a golden glow over the room, and I felt my feet tapping out the rhythm of "Roasted Almonds," a lively jazz tune that got me moving. As I closed my eyes, letting the music in my head carry me away, the roasted almonds seemed to transform into tiny, dancing notes that leapt and spun around me, filling my heart with happiness and my spirit with a sense of freedom.

In the mystical fog that shrouded San Francisco on this most romantic of nights - Valentine's Day in 1977 - the city's streets slumbered, save for the soft susurrations of empty trolley buses gliding down California Street like ghostly apparitions.   A lone light shining from your window like a beacon in the night. The soft glow cast an eerie silhouette on the pavement below as if the shadows themselves were dancing to the rhythm of the music drifting from within.

As the first snow of the season began to softly fall this morning, my dear sweet Wally took his final breath. He’s left an enormous hole in our hearts.  We knew this day would come, but nothing can prepare you for the pain.  We are glad Wally is not suffering and is now free from his worldly struggles.  And although he will live on in our dreams, we will miss him everyday.

All of the music on this album was recorded on a TEAC A-3440  4 track tape recorder.
