Aber zum Glück hat eine Pappnase 384 Packungen Toilettenpapier gehamstert, welche sich nun an Deck türmen und die Legonostalgier unter der Besatzung dazu anspornen sich im allseits beliebten Spiel "Wer baut das krasseste Toilettenpapiercastle" zu übertrumpfen. 
Doch keine Panik auf der Titanic. Die Rettung naht. Fernab unserer Misere schlemmt Daensen genüßlich eine Durian. Da leuchtet sein sanitärer Plattenkoffer auf. SOS, die Tarabcrew ruft nach Hilfe. Schnurrstracks springt er auf. Mixt eine prall gefüllte Kiste seiner Lieblingsfrucht mit seinem abgespaceten, exotischen Sound und katapultiert sie in den Kosmos. Beatgesteuert hat sie nur ein Ziel. Rette die Apollo 12.

FRUITCAST #19 | daensen | the interstellar adventure of a durian

This is Atemporal, a timeless sound journey through undiscovered cultures by Amsterdam-based @krautmusica (Daniel Zuur). Inspired by music from Central Africa, Nigeria and Ivory Coast, it evolved into a robust four-track EP. KRAUT composed a sound bouquet full of warm kalimba flavours, driving djembe’s blended with punchy kicks and hypnotizing synthesizers. For the track Luna Nueva, KRAUT worked together with Israel-based percussionist @nadavdagon. After four strong releases, KRAUT went back to the original sounds of his Especias EP (Shika Shika, 2016). Wenn Gretel nicht hinschaut, schraube ich gern ein klitzekleines bisschen an den bpm und träume von märchenhaften, rauschenden Bällen, Festen, Festivals, dunklen Tanzflächen; eyes wide shut. 

This too shall pass, Lovers und Loverines. In der Zwischenzeit stampfen wir zuhause auf knarzenden Dielenböden, in unsere comforter blankets gehüllt. Wenigstens der Rotkäppchen-Sekt ist immer gut gekühlt, der Weg zum Kühlschrank ist nicht weit. Cheers.

Hailing from Leipzig/Germany, mR_BLACk is best known for putting out a constant stream of mixes that embrace the deeper side of electronic music. Having grown up in a music loving environment and being a music collector and DJ since the 1990s, his sets are both versatile and consistent.

With a musical taste ranging from beatless ambient drones, hypnotic techno, deep dubstep to drum & bass and halfstep, he never shies from experimenting and surprising the audience. Most important to him for a set is getting the crowd in that certain mood of exploring the unknown while keeping the bass heavy and the atmosphere gloomy.
