Späk is leading us for this 74th musical journey into a desert sunset with a mixture of deep oriental sounds and a subtle progressive feel to the mix. Based out in Vienna and taking part in a number of quality underground events notably via Hiemlich, a collective founded by himself and a number of his mates, he is known to put together unique, inspired mix sessions while providing constant quality tracks that are often unknown to most listeners. 

He takes pride in his mixtapes and is therefore known to the underground slow house public by being part of a number of quality podcasts notably Orient Art, Deepist, Casa Caso or even Gedankenklang.

Was sollen wir über Martin schreiben?!? Späk dessen richtiger Vorname Martin ist, hatte uns vor einiger Zeit angefragt ob er nicht -  naja,vielleicht, wäre schön mal ein Set anfertigen könnte. 
Kurzer Hand haben wir uns die Zeit genommen um uns seine Set´s anzuhören und siehe da, wir waren hin und weg. Stilistisch gehen seine Set´s von Downtempo über World, Oriental bis hin zu Sloth Musik.
Der wohnhafte Wiener ist auch mit seiner Crew "heimlich" im Umland von Wien sehr umtriebig. Sie veranstalten auch kleine Event die unter anderem "heimlich im Wald" heißen und sehr verträumt aussehen. Wir begeben uns nun auf eine verträumte und entspannte Reise im musikalischem "Orientexpress" von Späk - aber hört selbst.

As a young teenager, Matossian commenced over a decade of training in classical voice. After graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1995, she spent seven years as a high school instructor of English Literature and Language Arts, in addition to time as a counsellor.

In 1998 she became the first family member to travel to Armenia since her grandmother, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, had been deported c. 1915. While there, volunteering for an English-language newspaper, Matossian became informed of the overwhelming plight of Armenian street children. Her involvement with these children culminated in a 2002 leave of absence from her teaching career to work for three months with themMatossian’s return from Armenia marked the beginning of her professional career as a musician. 2004 saw Matossian awarded with a Music/Career Development grant from the Canada Council for the Arts[citation needed], providing her the means to release her debut recording, Far from Home, early the same year.[1] Far from Home has enjoyed airplay across Canada, in the United States and Europe, and was selected in 2005 as one of John Diliberto’s 25 Essential Albums for Echoes radio program on NPR.

Matossian’s concerts have been recorded by the CBC and broadcast nationally across Canada.[2] She has performed with the renowned oud master (Udi), John Berberian. Other acclaimed Canadian musicians such as Jesse Zubot, Ernie Tollar, Francois Houle, Elliot Polsky, and Catherine Potter rank among those with whom she has shared a stage.

In 2008 Matossian joined forces with the instrumental world fusion group Free Planet Radio,[3] which includes River Guerguerian (percussion), Chris Rosser (cumbus, oud), and Grammy award winner, Eliot Wadiopian (acoustic bass). The group performs together to sold out crowds in southeast USA. Greenville News arts writer Ann Hicks calls Matossian “a rare, compelling artist who can spellbind any audience.”[4]

Arno Brak aka Kaöb is a free-spirited person who grew up surrounded by the intensity and color of an artistic family. Passionate about world cultures, he has lived in Dublin, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and has visited more than thirty countries.

Under the name of Arno Brak, he released 19 tracks on 6 labels in 4 years (FlymusiK Records, Bedroom House Records, Locked Records, Arch 44, Hitfinders Music Brazil, Simplus Label), then decided to transform to the Kaöb alias, which corresponds better to his universe. In early October, he released his first EP of 3 tracks on the famous Brazilian label Casa Caos. Keep an eye on his online platforms for new EP projects, partnerships, podcast and live mix are coming in the coming months in France, Europe and rest of the world.

His style of music reflects a real craze for spirituality, esotericism, mysticism, ancient civilisations and ethnic cultures, coupled with electronic music. Enhanced by life's philosophies, positivity, laws of attraction, the awakening of conscience, meditation, nature, unity, multiculturalism and questioning about this wonderful universe - which he seeks to transmit through his musical compositions.

Für unsere Nr. 125 haben wir einen geheimnisvollen musikalischen Tiefseetaucher an Land gezogen, der uns mit seinen zart-bitteren, winterlichen Klängen verzaubert. Wir dürfen euch vorstellen: Loki Styx aka "Really bad guy from deep Space. Unholy Lord of the mighty FancyDancers. Rogue & Bouncebringer at Night." Har, har.

Informationen gibt es so gut wie keine über ihn. Aber ehrlich gesagt, wer braucht schon einen gängigen lyrischen Lobgesang zu all den tollen Dingen, die der oder die Künstler eben tut/tun? Schließlich handelt es sich schlussendlich doch um einen musikalischen Podcast. Ganz genau, Musik. Und hierfür liefert Loki ein gewaltiges Statement ab, das seinesgleichen sucht. 

Zurückhaltend, gedämpft und mit viel Liebe zum Detail schippert er durch die weiten Welten verschickter, langsamer, elektronischer Musik. Ohne zu Untertreiben, aber von Anfang bis zum Ende lässt einen das Set nicht mehr los. Zu toxisch ist die in sich tragende Stimmung, die die Tracks erst im Zusammenspiel erzeugen. Wer nach dem berühmt berüchtigten roten Faden sucht, ist hier absolut an der richtigen Stelle. In seinem Set geht es auch ebenso wenig darum, tolle aktuelle Tracks zu spielen, sondern eine individuelle Note zu transportieren, die sich keineswegs auf ein Genre reduzieren lässt. Dafür aber umso mehr auf ein Gefühl. Und das heißt hier: 'Entspanntes Treiben lassen'. Chapeau Loki Styx.
