Vor der großen Leinwand geht Lighter auf und ab. Dabei gestikuliert er ausladend und weiht uns in die Geheimnisse eines guten Raves ein. Mein Gedanken kreisen sich zunächst jedoch nicht, um die nächste große ComRa Veranstaltung. Ich bin in meinem Kopf noch dabei die neuen Erkenntnisse wie Puzzleteile zu einem Gesamtbild zusammen zu setzen. Lighter muss von Anfang an gewusst haben, dass ich an seinem Seminar heute teilnehme. Zudem wusste ich, dass ich neu bin. Ansonsten hätte er bei der Einlasskontrolle nicht so lässig reagiert. Als Leiter des Seminars, sollte er ja eher da sein als seine Teilnehmer. Er kennt sich ihr also viel besser aus als ich zunächst vermutet habe. Er ist also wirklich sehr nützlich und das nicht nur aufgrund seines unendlichen Depots an Feuerzeugen. Es wird also Zeit seinen Worten Gehör zu schenken. Als sich mein Verstand in den Monolog von ihm einklinkt, erklärt er gerade den Umgang mit den Gästen. „Also denkt immer daran es ist wichtig, dass sich die Leute wohlfühlen auf unseren Veranstaltungen. Doch damit alle sich alle wohlfühlen und fallen lassen können, darf keiner die Grenzen des Anderen überschreiten. Auch ihr müsst auf diese eine goldene Regel achten. Also seit zuvorkommend und freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich. Ich mach mir da aber keine allzu großen Sorgen. Schließlich hat der Chef euch persönlich ausgesucht, da ihr besondere soziale Fähigkeiten besitzt und einen positiven Einfluss auf eure Mitmenschen habt. Seit also einfach ihr selbst. Einige von euch werden auch beim Einlass eingesetzt werden. Eigentlich keine große Sache. Wie ihr sicherlich alle wisst, arbeiten wir bei ComRa schon lange nicht mehr mit Bargeld. Ihr habt also keine Kasse, auf die ihr aufpassen müsst und auch keine Probleme mit dem Rückgeld. Die Leute müssen nur ihre Kapsel an das Lesegerät halten. Dabei müsst ihr aufpassen, dass der Gast seine Kapsel auch lang genug an den Scanner hält, sodass der Computer auch alle Daten auslesen kann. Ihr bekommt dann auf dem Bildschirm vor euch eine Übersicht. Neben allgemeinen Daten, könnt ihr auch einsehen, welche ComRa Veranstaltungen der Gast zuletzt besucht hat und wie lange er im Durchschnitt geblieben ist. Falls euch auffällt, dass jemand schon lange nicht mehr bei uns gewesen ist oder Veranstaltungen regelmäßig vorzeitig verlässt, sprecht ihn bitte darauf an. Versucht herauszufinden, was dem Gast gefehlt hat oder ob er mit etwas unzufrieden war. Falls ihr nach eurer Schicht am Einlass solche Gäste auf der Tanzfläche wiedertrefft, versucht dafür zu sorgen, dass sie sich dieses Mal wohl fühlen und länger bleiben. Wie ihr das anstellt ist euch überlassen. Ihr seid schließlich die Experten und Botschafter der Musik.“ Den letzten Satz sagte er mit einem auffälligen Augenzwinkern. Direkt im Anschluss herrscht wieder plötzlich völlige Dunkelheit und auf der großen Leinwand läuft eine Art „Aftermovie“ der letzten Veranstaltung. Er verfehlt nicht seine beabsichtige Wirkung. Anstatt über das Gehörte groß nachzudenken, macht sich Vorfreude in meinem Organismus breit. Unser heutiger Gastact Animal Picnic hat bereits durch Releases auf Einmusika, Diynamic und Steyoyoke auf sich aufmerksam gemacht. Die Jungs wissen auf jeden Fall wie man Vorfreude aufkommen lässt.

Music artist EVARPARE is a DJ, producer, guitarist and songwriter from the southside of the Alpine Republic of Austria. During his performances he takes the audience on an extraordinary music journey. With a melodic mix across house, dance, trance and techno music, he takes the listener out of their everyday life to a good vibes experience.

In Christian's life, music played a key role from an early age on. Even as a child, artists such as Eric Prydz, ATB and Chicane were some of his favorite artists. So, the first beats were produced at the age of 12 years on his own PC. Especially his parents, who found each other during their work life in Switzerland and are great fans of country, rock and blues music, had a great influence on his musical development. Furthermore, the rise of crossover music in the mid-1990s took an important place in Christian's music perception. So came what had to come: After basic musical education in the school and on the flute, followed by several years of guitar and vocal education, the founding of a rock band took place. Over a period of several years, the six-member group performed in various Austrian cities and gained positive feedback and experience until the project was ended due to lack of time by several band members. After some guest appearances as guitarist (Seaside Festival, B72 Vienna,…) he took an artistic break. But it wasn't long before the passion for electronic dance music moved into the life focus once more.

Since 2018 Christian works again as an artist and he is already repeatedly booked at established events. He is described by DJ colleagues and promoters as a rising EDM artist who wants to bring new sound into the scene - which honors him greatly. In April 2019 he launched his own Podcast/Radio Show under the name "SALTWATER" which regularly appears on various streaming and video platforms. The episodes repeatedly secured a place in the Top 10 Deep House and Electronica Charts on Mixcloud. His 2020 FM4 Radio premiere with the saltwater show solidify his reputation as a melodic and cinematic soundscape artist.

His intention: To take even more people on an emotional journey with his extraordinary mix of electronic beats.

Bio:

D.H.U.B aka Jonathan Dubé discovered Electronic Music in 2013 . His friend introduced him to the scene and went to a gig of Sasha. That night he understood that was a life-changing moment and he immediately felt in love  with progressive House. By himself he started finding and discovering new DJs and producers around the Globe and as a result he started learning djing in 2015 to spread his love for music.

Hello 👋 and welcome once again to the Depth Perception Sessions, home of all things deep and delicious.

This week we welcome Dutchman Marc de Koning to the show to take care of Episode #81.

Bio:

His music style varies from deep and energetic house to underground progressive tech house. With this deep love & appreciation of house music, he began to produce his own music.

In 2014 his music career took a turn for the better when Dimitri Kneppers, the pioneer of house music in the Netherlands began to incorporate Marc’s music into his sets.

2014 brought another DJ blessing into the mix for Marc met Luke Santos, a well loved & talented DJ from Argentina who now lives in Amsterdam. They clicked and have been pro ducing music together ever since.

Marc de Koning is presently a resident DJ at RLGC44 (Recycle Lounge Gallery Club) in Amsterdam.

U.K. Producer Dan Watts has pedigree, he's been involved in dance music since the late 1980's. A passion for early Electro gave way to new beat, acid house and techno. 

The desire to share 'the new sound' led to scores of illegal rave parties and numerous DJ residencies. A string of white label releases through the the 90's under various guises eventually led to the Fractal Architect production moniker. Under this name Dan brings to the table his own unique and genre blurring brand of deep, soulful, melodic electronic dance music. With signings to many high profile labels including Steyoyoke, Inner Symphony, Manual Music, KDB and Cinematique Dan is at the vanguard of contemporary electronic music.’

FRACTAL ARCHITECT ist der Schöpfer des heutigen Podcasts. Sein Set umschreibt eine Berg und Tal fahrt. Die Melodien lassen einen sanft in unsagbare Höhen entschweben. Kurz darauf folgt der freie Fall in Richtung Erdboden. Doch im letzten Moment landet man weich auf einer flauschigen Wolke und segelt entspannt dem Sonnenuntergang entgegen.
