French producer and musician Frédéric Rivière AKA Anoraak is back, delivering a vibrant ‘sunset inspired’ disco and synthpop tune titled ‘Two Steps’. Incorporating his mesmerizing vocals into an infectious groovy synth hook, he sets the energetic foundations for his euphoric, four to the floor upbeat single, which will be a welcomed addition to any summer playlists going around.

Talking about returning to the more clubby side of his style spectrum, Anoraak explains: "After a couple of years composing mainly organic disco infused tracks and doing many collabs, I felt like bringing back a bit of synthetic sound as well as my own vocals.
I wanted Two Steps to be a dancy track with soft vocals, wrapped up in a pop format."

Despite the pandemic, Anoraak has been very productive, having released an EP on Yuksek’s imprint Partyfine and one lined up on Manchester’s iconic label Paper Recordings, as well as several single releases including the charity compilation For Beirut (alongside Breakbot, Acid Arab, Dimitri From Paris) 
 
With 3 eponymous albums under his belt, numerous EP’s and remixes for artists such as Metronomy, Satin Jackets, Neon Indian and Mika, Anoraak has set himself in the last years as a leading force in the “sunset inspired disco and synthpop” with well over 30 Million streams across all platforms and placements on staple Netflix series You and Atypical.

First, this is the fortieth anniversary, and your greetings, which I simply could not ignore, secondly, the last time this series was published 5 years ago and a lot of music that I collected managed to get old and lose interest, the third is the number of subscriptions to the channel which is roughly suitable for 2.5 k music-loving hearts. Well, maybe somewhere at the end of more than 15 years of official performances, and the release of podcasts online). As you can see, there are enough reasons. Alexander Khomenko, known to electronic music fans as Sparkless, was born on August 9, 1982, in the Northern capital of Russia- Saint Petersburg. Even then, without knowing anything of the boy’s future, life was leaving an imprint of warm summer rain chords and melodic birds’ vocals on the soul of the future artist. A love of music was not inherited by the boy, as it is with most music careers, but it came quietly. It’s hard to recall the day when it happened, but it was the first records from England and Italy which fell into his hands that triggered it. Later, in his more conscious years, Sparkless began himself to write and collect music. Alexander parted from writing music at the end of the 90s, focusing his attention as a listener. It was only by coincidence that he got into DJing, while registering for a music site as a fan of ONE of the Djs, and he decided to try his hand at the art of mixing songs. This process carried him away and stuck, so to this day he keeps following the passion, bringing consistently fresh mixes to his fans again and again. 
To date, Sparkless is the author of more than 150 music reviews in his home country, and for the last 8 years ruzzia’s top music site has ranked him in their top 100 DJs. 
Alexander characterizes the music that he promotes as “an intellectual and emotional cocktail, with a deep, philosophical meaning”. Preferred styles: Deep house, Nu Disco, DNB, Soulfull, Atmospheric breaks, House. 
Sparkless is a real multi-DJ. Resident Alchemist Bar, Mantra Club.
