Raphael Malikian, known by his producer tag RFLXN, is a British-Armenian artist and producer whose sound is as complex and layered as his life’s journey. Born in London and now based in California, he carries a mosaic of influences that span continents and generations. His work is a direct product of his experiences, most notably a period of federal incarceration and subsequent home confinement, which he used as an intensive period of self-study and creative growth.

Rejecting modern conventions, he crafts his music entirely without a DAW, preferring a hands-on, hardware-based approach. His sound is a bold fusion of worlds: the raw, synth-heavy textures of classic hip-hop and cinematic dystopia blend seamlessly with the soulful, melodic richness of Armenian Rabiz music. The result is a unique sonic landscape that is at once gritty, epic, and deeply personal.
