Ana Rocha was invited by Kismif Conference, to make a performance in the Cybermúsica room, in Casa da Música, where she explored the movement and occupation of the room in question. For this performance, I was invited to do the sound part, with a DJ set, where I could stimulate the body and potentiate the piece in question.

An increasingly potent driving force in today’s techno environment, Georgia has through its key clubs Bassiani, Khidi and Mtkvarze, helped Tbilisi and its surroundings shape into of the most intriguing and reliable hotspots for emerging DJs and producers. One of its most talented heralds and a surefire groove rider at that, Yanamaste graces us with a choice two hours of the entrancingly deep and bumpy 4x4 epics he’s been laying down for INNSIGNN, Lyree and Khidi in recent times. Paced-up and animal to the core, his vision sweeps an extra wide range of shades and reliefs, nimbly moving the cursor from classic Berlin-inspired blends to full-fledged magmatic trance, via Birmingham-style projections and a solid dose of folk-infused harmonics. Raw yet technical, organic with a hint of hypermodern hoodoo to it, Yanamaste’s sound is the definition of hardware techno with soul, cut to ram-raid and elevate in equal measure.

The inaugural edition features Goa based; Innerworld

Innerworld is a reflection of Akshay Mathker’s exploration into the deeper realms of techno. This Goa
based DJ and producer is inspired by the psychedelic and trance music culture that he grew up
surrounded by. Dark and mysterious, yet energetic and hypnotic, Innerworld crafts a landscape that
invites the listeners to turn inwards, delve deep into realms within, guided by enchanting atmospheres
layered with silky wisps of rhythm.
His journey as a DJ started 12 years ago, and he’s been producing music for the past 5 years. Previously
having released music on Mosaic Recordings and Mana Abundance, he’s got sweltering new music lined
up for release this upcoming year on Indian and international labels. Akshay has warmed up for legends
like Amotik, Ness, Claudio PRC, Gonno, and Haruka, and also recently having had his Boiler Room
debut. Innerworld is driven by a clear-cut mission to bring sonic intricacy to the dance floor, as a gateway
to the subconscious.

Dubai's Adam Rahman pioneered Techno in India and the Middle East. As DJ, promoter, label owner, and festival co-owner, he's shaped dance music, advocating cutting-edge Techno and Electronica. Pre-2000, his WARPED nights introduced avant-garde sounds to the Middle East, evolving into 'Warped After Hours'. Ohm Records contributions introduced brands like Chill Out Festival. Rahman performed with luminaries like Derrick May, enhancing his stature. A Groove on the Grass member, he fortified the Middle Eastern scene. International feats, KitchenSync Records releases, and his A \ S \ O \ M alias highlight his prowess. From deep hypnotic sounds to Romanian grooves, Rahman's evolving sets promise an immersive journey.

Born & raised in Delhi, Siddharth Sharma’s ‘ARTIFVCT’ project is a result of local influences and his love for exploring the scope of synthesizers. He is inspired by a variety of genres ranging from metal and rock to electronic music.
He has been producing music for the past 6 years and has released music on labels like Qilla Records and Postdynamic. He takes a minimalistic approach to deep & hypnotic techno, with motifs that evolve over time and create meditative qualities.  Nature plays a big role in his process, finding himself often travelling to the mountains to seek inspiration.

Santiago Ocampo Cano, renowned in the realm of techno music as SNTH-ZECTA, is a skilled DJ, producer, and the visionary founder of a groundbreaking record project hailing from the vibrant city of Manizales, Colombia.
In 2005, fuelled by an inherent passion for music and guided by a unique artistic vision, SNTH-ZECTA made a significant entrance into the techno music scene. He swiftly became a prominent figure, specialising in the genres of hard techno, hard dance, and industrial music. Answer Code Request (@answercoderequest) has long since mastered the art of mixing up the physical the with cerebral. His broken, industrial-tinged techno drums are powerful enough to have made him a long-time Berghain resident, while his harmonic pads make a lasting impact on your mind. While releasing on the likes of Ostgut Ton, Dolly Deluxe and Monkeytown Records, he has also established his own ACR label and never fails to blur boundaries between sub-genres whenever he steps out with a new sound or set.

He pulls no punches on this week's mix which is a broad showcase of his ability to thread together many different strains of techno and beyond into a coherent whole. There's everything from transcendental and linear rollers to dubby bangers, twitchy rave anthems blissed out deep space minimalism via party starting piano house. It's fun and functional in equal measure and is the sound of a DJ very much in full flow.
