Giri

Giri, known also as Gi Napoletano, was born in Naples. Started playing with electronic music at 13 with a makeshift daw, Music, a Playstation videogame. His techno attitude has been more and more influenced by Detroit's Second Wave and UK techno scene.

He released tracks on Awry, Evod, Srie, Prophet, No Signal, Axis and others, and performed alongside artists such as Laurent Garnier, Steve Bicknell, Juan Atkins, Anthony Rother, Moritz von Oswald, Octave One, Matthew Herbert, Scan 7 and so on. In 2020 he founded his own label: Antiterra, whose name sums up the sci-fi concept of a theoretical planet in the Solar System which shares its Orbit with Earth and is constantly eclipsed by the Sun.

This set recorded for us reflects his musical vision that its clearly recognized in his productions as well. Sci-fi, deep and gritty techno that takes listeners float into another dimension. Enjoy the ride!

Innerworld is a reflection of Akshay Mathker’s exploration into the deeper realms of techno. This Goa
based DJ and producer is inspired by the psychedelic and trance music culture that he grew up
surrounded by. Dark and mysterious, yet energetic and hypnotic, Innerworld crafts a landscape that
invites the listeners to turn inwards, delve deep into realms within, guided by enchanting atmospheres
layered with silky wisps of rhythm.
His journey as a DJ started 12 years ago, and he’s been producing music for the past 5 years. Previously
having released music on Mosaic Recordings and Mana Abundance, he’s got sweltering new music lined
up for release this upcoming year on Indian and international labels. Akshay has warmed up for legends
like Amotik, Ness, Claudio PRC, Gonno, and Haruka, and also recently having had his Boiler Room
debut. Innerworld is driven by a clear-cut mission to bring sonic intricacy to the dance floor, as a gateway
to the subconscious.

Dubai's Adam Rahman pioneered Techno in India and the Middle East. As DJ, promoter, label owner, and festival co-owner, he's shaped dance music, advocating cutting-edge Techno and Electronica. Pre-2000, his WARPED nights introduced avant-garde sounds to the Middle East, evolving into 'Warped After Hours'. Ohm Records contributions introduced brands like Chill Out Festival. Rahman performed with luminaries like Derrick May, enhancing his stature. A Groove on the Grass member, he fortified the Middle Eastern scene. International feats, KitchenSync Records releases, and his A \ S \ O \ M alias highlight his prowess. From deep hypnotic sounds to Romanian grooves, Rahman's evolving sets promise an immersive journey.

Born & raised in Delhi, Siddharth Sharma’s ‘ARTIFVCT’ project is a result of local influences and his love for exploring the scope of synthesizers. He is inspired by a variety of genres ranging from metal and rock to electronic music.
He has been producing music for the past 6 years and has released music on labels like Qilla Records and Postdynamic. He takes a minimalistic approach to deep & hypnotic techno, with motifs that evolve over time and create meditative qualities.  Nature plays a big role in his process, finding himself often travelling to the mountains to seek inspiration.

SPOKEN104 - Giri

Up next in the series we have Giri, the Neapolitan DJ and producer who discovered electronic music composition at a very young age through a video game: Music 2000. From that moment on, he simultaneously pursued his passion for synthesizers, sound design, DJing, and vinyl collecting.

The artist has a natural inclination towards the darker and more industrial frontiers, such as the second wave of Detroit and ’90s/2000s UK techno. These influences shaped his distinctive deep sound, built on complex, intricate structures and driven by a powerful groove and rhythmic intensity.

In 2019, the first EPs under the name Giri were released by Evod, Awry, and Prophet, and in 2020, he founded his own label, Antiterra Records. A year later, in July 2021, he released his first concept album, Antichthon, a 19-track project, on the label that had influenced him the most over the years: Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, as part of The Escape Velocity project.

Giri caught our ears with his ominous and sci-fi-inspired releases on labels such as No Signal, Immaterial.Archives, Molecular, and many more. His hypnotic percussion and eerie synths give you the urge to lock in and drift away.

For this mix, he went for ballsy rhythms with an intimate edge. From meticulously crafted layering that transports you far away, to broken patterns that feel like industrial machinery engineered to make you move.
