ColdSnap is the sonic brainchild of Chennai-based producer Rohan Mohanty, an artist who views music as a force that shapes emotions, fuels the self, and inspires a state of being. For him, creation begins with experience—each track is born from a moment, a feeling, or a memory, transformed into sound through deep synthesis, production, and DJing. With a decade of immersion in electronic music, he channels these inspirations into hypnotic, atmospheric grooves, where rhythm and texture become vessels for emotion. Whether sculpting intricate soundscapes or crafting seamless DJ sets, his approach is about more than just music—it’s about translating lived moments into transcendent sonic journeys.

"You can get deeply lost in the darkness if you let yourself merge with it and not fight it.” With this statement, Denise Rabe vividly encapsulates her musical philosophy. As this episode of DYSTOPIA exhibits, her sound is less a musical form than a collection of sounds generating a tense, haunting atmosphere. Rabe's methods and ideas show with total clarity how darkness, what our society incorrectly perceives as negative, is in fact an opening onto a radically liberated world of abstract forces. In this episode I seek to define the meaning of darkness in techno and Denise also shares her thoughts with us about Berghain, the role of gender within the techno scene, how her personal philosophy is expressed through her music, as well as the fortuitous synergy between her name and the spirit of her music. Julia Larsson, also known as Psykoterapi, has been involved with the scene for nearly a decade, both as a raver and as a member of an underground culture community in her hometown, focusing on arranging electronic music events. As a DJ, she has quickly made her mark in the scene. Since stepping behind the decks in early 2023, she has established herself as one of Stockholm’s rising DJ talents, currently holding residencies at the underground rave concept Spektrum and at Koordinat, a club and rave event concept.

Her sets are known for their high-energy atmosphere, blending fast-paced, dark groove, hypnotic loops and broken/break beats with minimalistic rhythms to create a unique and immersive experience.
