Etui welcomes Tim Kossmann. With Lockdown Loops the Westfalia dub techno mastermind presents a very personal EP with 3 deep, loop based tunes recorded in extreme isolation during lockdown. The situation created a feeling of lonesome remoteness and uncertainty, transcended by putting in more man hours in the studio.

The EP starts with Loop A, a dreamy dub techno riddim that has nice distant echoes and mint chords. The 2nd track Loop B has a more noisy, warped chord progression topped with atmospheric piano riffs.

Loop C on the b-side consists probably of the most heavenly sounding melancholic chord loop he has recorded so far. Expect a tune composed of atmospheric bluster combined with a banging deep mono bass and different layers of noise. It is simply an epic lofi sound anthem.

Tim Kossmann is a Germany based producer who focuses mainly on dub techno and ambient. Since 2016 he has been releasing on a constant basis on labels like Telrae, Greyscale and Superordinate Dub Waves among many others.

He loves to explore the deep side of techno, with the aim of creating deep, lush chords and soundscapes filled with echo and spaced out delays, where deeply banging bass and moving whitenoise are combined with sophisticated harmonics in order to push the boundaries of the genre.

Release number 47 is a remix EP of Dubtommy's Immersion track, which was released as a 3 track EP on December 15, 2021. On remix duties, we have Addex, Alessandro Crimi, who also did a remix on Addex track Across The Endline last year and BDTom, who released recently the Mandarin Drive (Remixes). The original mix delivers spoken hypnotic words along the track with a breakbeat sound and atmospheric dreamy pad. Sound of chimes and the shakes are filling the track with tranquil feel.

The remixes turned the original track sounds, especially the spoken vocal and reshape it in different shades of dub style. Addex remix starts and ends in a build-up and closed slow rhythm, as we hear the entire remix using those chill vocals and placed very well. Alessandro Crimi is the only remix in this pack that has a bit of higher tempo than the rest, but the elements used and a bit of spoken vocals in the background makes the remix with a perfect driving sound and a techno-esque style. BDTom remix hits the dub and deep house combination very well, his trademark sound turns the remix in a slow and groove ambiance.

Episodes of sacred rites held near the bygone Indian reservation were emerging in Spacelunch's memory. According to the legend of the Sumerians, the sacred altar at the foot of the mountain of monuments hid the secrets of thousands of customs. Is it a lot or not? It is impossible to predict how the story could have continued if it had not been for the ritual with the potion made of the Ayahuasca.

The ceremony of reunion with the spirits of nature allowed barely noticeable sprouts to grow inside the consciousness — harbingers of a huge storm that knocks down and mercilessly shatters the mind like an empty bottle against stones. Defenceless humility and love in response to the laughter of the universe is the only chance to feel freedom, be alone with yourself and warm your neighbours with the inner fire.

Spacelunch (short. spclnch) is a Dutch electronic music label with an emphasis on the dub sound founded in Minsk in 2019 by Thomas Carmody (@thomascarmody). The key ethical principles are an individual approach and a careful selection which allows you to get the best possible from the communication with artists.

The concept of releases is dedicated to a fantastic multimedia universe. The space adventures of Spacelunch and Cat unfold in episodes of an interactive musical comic. Each of them has an original script, and they are connected by a consistent storyline.
