Following 2020’s ‘Mirror Man’ LP on Radio Slave’s Rekids, Detroit pioneer Robert Hood returns to the label with a four-track EP of his trailblazing minimal techno. Leading the release, ‘Chroma Light’ opens with cinematic pads and pounding 4/4 patterns as twisted synthesis modulates throughout for a striking start. Followed by ‘The Majestic (Deeper Edit)’, with rattling percussion and fiercely relentless stabs, Hood shows his intent in creating propulsive, dancefloor focussed cuts across the EP.

On the flip, ‘The Majestic’ takes the B1 spot, expanding on the previous track with wild synths and his signature machine-like drums before ‘Ultrasonic Room’ closes out the release with eerie atmospherics and an underlying hypnotic pulse taking centre stage.

A founding member of Underground Resistance alongside Mad Mike Banks and Jeff Mills, Robert Hood is one of techno’s originators, with his decorated career spanning three decades across labels like Tresor, Peacefrog, Music Man Records, and of course, his own M Plant.

The bustling activity of the Earth colonizers had long since died out, so no one could be found on the deserted streets of «Spaceport 15» except astromechanical droids – local law enforcement officers. Spacelunch was looking for something special here, rather than an answer to another puzzle.

By mixing the serum reagents to study the space-time continuum, the professor hoped to gain access to the primordial hearth and reassign internal directives. After taking the right dosage, he habitually looked at his partner and, barely uttering a word, felt a soft isoteric glow.

– The chosen path is not accidental, my friend.
– Cat? Did you just say that?!
– The universe will take care of everything, just listen to yourself...

In their attempts to find any clues to Graves' whereabouts, they'd been going over the key memories stored as terabytes of data on USB drives for hours, all in vain.

– Cat, can we just call it a night? Looks like we got nothing.
– We'll search as long as it takes! We must be missing something...

Plugging in another flash disk, the professor dived into the endless labyrinths of mind. Moving through the foggy streets of Chinatown, he scrutinized even the most insignificant details. Once in a narrow alleyway, a lamppost came into view, on which there was glued, among many others, an old advertisement: "Implement an idea into an individual's mind through dreaming." Spacelunch disconnected from the neural processor that same moment and cried: "This is it!" Now they knew exactly what to do next.

Mungo’s Hi Fi have been following The Hempolics for a while and were glad to get a chance to remix one of their tracks. They picked ‘Love to sing’ for it’s upfull message and joyful sound, bringing in Solo Banton for some heavyweight lyrics in the verses and giving it the Mungo’s bass treatment.

After Violinbwoy’s successful ‘Mono County’ twelver and Moonshine’s tight collaboration with Steppas Records, the imprint is ready to march on and announce its next 12-inch coloured vinyl release waiting in line.

The mighty Mungo’s Hi-Fi and Sekkleman have taken up Radikal Guru’s (RG) prolific ‘Subconscious’ long player. Each has picked a track of choice to lengthen and relive the Polish sound of 2013. With a remix of originals 
‘Stay Calm ft. YT’ and ‘Earthwalker, the imprint’s back catalogue is steadily shifting the sediment of dub(wise) music.  

Mungo’s Hi Fi’s take on RG’s ‘Stay Calm’ is a meditative jam that reaches out to the most high. The track is led by a low-toned bassline that immerses listeners in lo-fi tremor. It shakes chest plates, while YT’s blessed vocal work transcends the average dub plate. His energetic lines of wisdom align with Mungo’s futuristic drum work; all to forge a revolutionary sound that honours RG’s dub style. Guided by several melody leads, swinging flows and sample tweaks, this rework really sets a groove of its own.

The flip side of ‘MS024’ reaches out to a confident steppa-style production that will remind many of scene favourite Gorgon Sound. The Australian-based Sekkleman has an exciting go at reinterpreting ‘Earthwalker’ in his own profound way: a pounding kick, rowdy b-lines and an enthralling flute escort listeners through the path to Jah. The mental atmosphere that follows suit sets a tone that touches upon RG’s original intentions. It bundles the roots of this stepper, allowing it to effectively trigger a journey that eases down the brain; just close your eyes and skank towards peace and unity.

‘MS024’ embodies a returning theme, consisting of two remixes that add even more significance to the existence of Radikal Guru’s 2nd album. For us, taking part in this movement is all that matters. Thanks for your support!

The alien scenario was unfolding very dynamically, so the daring pilgrims decided to look into one quaint place where you can hide from the universal bustle, take a breath and enjoy the spatial modeling. By the way, it helps to recover after critical overloads through fine motor skills.
Welcome to the heavenly body "Orlan 19". Once it was assigned an ordinal number, and it got this name because of its ultra-low gravity. Obviously, this "dwarf" became an attraction and just a recreational area for many nomads. Its atmosphere is literally packed with thoughtfully hovering objects of various configurations. A kind of metaphysical equilibrium. Here it is customary to not only enjoy the abundance of entertainment, but also the thoughts about where the consciousness leads us in search of its home.
Deftly juggling patterns, the technologist grabbed an experimental sample labeled RTW1350, which, thanks to its composition and consistency, easily gives the appearance of a basketball.

After almost two decades of hibernation under the ambient waves and dub currents of the Sargasso Sea, LSD announces the next installment of the seminal ‘Auntie Aubrey's' series, an Orb Remix Project. This 2 x CD compilation is a veritable smorgasbord of classic, new and unreleased labour-of-love remixes that span three decades yet still transcend space and time.

Boasting an all-star lineup, the compilation includes many of our scenes most esteemed electronic music producers such as Coldcut, David Harrow, Sendelica and Gaudi as well as the ambient blissed out vibes from the enigmatic DF Tram, Duende India Collective and The Gyuto Monks of Tibet, this collection offers up such the variety to appease even the most dedicated Orbsessives and music connoisseurs.  

Many influential artists have been involved with The Orb since the beginning and the project still keeps evolving and adapting. Dr. Alex Paterson, the gravitation centre of the Orb is known for his playfully subversive remixes and true to form this CD highlights the diversity of his musical mind.

We see the good Dr. remix the melancholy and evocative “The Last Lighthouse Keeper” from The Transit Kings, an early British electronic music group that included Jimmy Cauty of The KLF, one of the original members of The Orb. The remix of ‘Davy Jones’ Locker’ from System 7 takes you surfing on a sun-dappled sea of ambient dance nostalgia, while Killing Jokes’ ‘European Super State’ remix (in which LSD label founder Youth plays bass guitar) sounds like the soundtrack for an imaginary spy thriller with the powerful lyrics and hypnotizing voice of Jaz Summers. Legendary producer Youth teams up with Lx yet again on a psychedelic rocker with spellcasting vocals by Lara Smiles, and this is just the beginning!

Spacelunch (short. spclnch) is a Dutch electronic music label with an emphasis on the dub sound founded in Minsk in 2019 by Thomas Carmody (@thomascarmody). The key ethical principles are an individual approach and a careful selection which allows you to get the best possible from the communication with artists.

The concept of releases is dedicated to a fantastic multimedia universe. The space adventures of Spacelunch and Cat unfold in episodes of an interactive musical comic. Each of them has an original script, and they are connected by a consistent storyline.
