Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Oreason was born out of the desire of two friends to create a powerful and inspiring collaboration. It was after a solo career that Julio and Jordan decided to join forces to make their world discoverable. Their style: a mix of groovy Tech House rhythm and melodic aerial Deep. Oreason likes to draw its inspiration from its musical culture, between the bass lines of funk and the house synths of the 90s. Always in search of the symbiosis that binds them together, Oreason likes to create and shape a style of their own. They are not afraid to set themselves goals in order to push their creativity as far as possible.

Next up on Q1E2 Recordings – for the label’s fifth release so far – is Dr Sud. He’s a Rome-born, Berlin-raised producer whose music is a fusion of percussion-centric soundscapes and integrated jazz-leaning harmonies, drawing inspiration from diverse genres like electronica, funk, and house.

On ‘Heading South’, the broken beat don serves up his specialist percussive sound, folding all manner of drums into synth-smothered house. The EP explores the undulating cycle of morning into night, back into morning, inviting you to dance your way through it all.

‘Brina’, a word which in Italian refers to morning dew – perhaps found on a tent on the morning of a festival – represents the breaking of dawn with broken beats. The track breaks and squints into the start of the day with spacious kick drums leaving room for warm, almost familiar pads and keys.

Then, ‘Life Itself’ reflects daytime, revolving around an arpeggiating synth that soon makes way for luscious keys.

An excursion into percussive bliss concludes side A in the form of the magical, grin-inducing ‘Evening Breath’. This, as you might have guessed, is where the listener cruises through smoothly into the final stages of the day. It encapsulates that last burst of light as the sun sets and a slight shiver of the evening air slivers up your spine.

Then, before you know it, the mysterious night arrives. Flip to that B side, and ‘Tramontana’ will greet you, inviting you to dance deep into the late hours.

When you’re there, the chugging ‘3/4AM’ will hit the spot like an unforgettable dance floor moment, bursting with low and slow Balearic tendencies.

Finally, 'Mondgesicht' – “Moonface” in German –fittingly concludes proceedings with deep lounge vibes. Mumbles of effortless trumpet manoeuvre through a swaying sea of percussion and delicious, wavering synth solo. The day is here again. The cycle is complete.

This is some seriously high quality music on show here from Dr Sud. The EP is out on Q1E2 Recordings in September.

It's hard to imagine how even experienced adventurers envied these travellers, bound by an invisible, strong thread of excitement for discovery. But what will they become: a collection of fears and questions or the embodiment of a real experience? The cabin shook, the sensors screeched in unison, announcing extreme overload, a bright flash! Emptiness. What is it: strange whispers, snatches of sounds, noises, echoes of the frightening unknown rang in my ears.

It soon turned out that riding the waves of atomic-molecular flow is not so scary. Quantum teleportation is quite a common process for those who have fallen into the cold embrace of a black hole. Random formulas, geometric progressions, and a detailed model of the universe pop up in your mind as if at someone's command. Suddenly, a strange silhouette flashed past - perhaps a clot of dark matter, or perhaps someone got caught in an endless cycle and rushed with great speed into a parallel dimension. The main thing is not to break into particles from such a swirl and strong rotation.

The intergalactic tornado calmed down and the image stabilized. Just think, until recently Cat could not imagine such a story. His eyes widened in surprise. Looking at each other, the friends realized that everything had happened for a reason, they were being watched...
