Playroots is the project of Aníbal Valenzuela, a Chilean multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and producer. Over the past three years, he has toured with his live set, blending organic instruments with electronic sounds influenced by house and dub. He has performed at festivals such as Fusion (Germany) and Ozora (Hungary), and at venues like BOHO (Ibiza), Bonjuk Bay (Turkey), Zazala (Paros), and Casa Reia (Lisbon), as well as opening for Hermanos Gutiérrez in Chile.

We invite you to discover this journey filled with mystique, peace, and earthy sounds, featuring 3 originals plus three rhythm-driven remixes by Dvniel from Mexico, Matt Jah from Italy, and Marco Tegui from Peru. Playroots es el proyecto de Aníbal Valenzuela, músico multiinstrumentista, DJ y productor chileno. Here are the winners of our Merovingian remix competition we held earlier last year.

We had over 50 submissions and were blown away by the quality of the remixes. It was too hard to choose one winner so we narrowed it down to 11 winners. It wasn't planned but we wanted to do something special for the winners so we are making this into a limited edition CD release. Only 100 copies will be produced.

Everything around is weaved from the same star matter, first creating and then destroying. And everything cycles and repeats again and again.
This is the inevitability, the law of existence.
We only get to observe.

Spacelunch (short. spclnch) is a Dutch electronic music label with an emphasis on the dub sound founded in Minsk in 2019 by Thomas Carmody (@thomascarmody). The key ethical principles are an individual approach and a careful selection which allows you to get the best possible from the communication with artists.

The concept of releases is dedicated to a fantastic multimedia universe. The space adventures of Spacelunch and Cat unfold in episodes of an interactive musical comic. Each of them has an original script, and they are connected by a consistent storyline.
