Sherman Theatre and Theatr Iolo present Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie. A new version by Catherine Dyson and directed by Lee Lyford. 

Michelle Perez will be audio describing the show for blind or visually impaired customers live on Saturday 9 December and Thursday 28 December at 2pm at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. 

This recorded audio introduction explains to customers details about the set design, costume and characters in more depth. It is useful to listen to this audio introduction before your visit to help you enjoy the show even more.

Audio Flyer for the Polka and Theatr Iolo co-production of Tidy that will be touring Wales in February and March 2025.  

The Tidy play is based on the illustrated children’s book by Emily Gravett. The play is co-created by Lee Lyford, Lucy Rivers & Rachael Canning. 

Tidy is a gentle but cautionary tale about the value of the world around us and what happens if we don’t look after it, targeted at ages 3-7 years old. 

TRANSCRIPT OF AUDIO FLYER:
Hello, I am Michelle and I will be audio describing the Tidy show going on tour in February and March 2025. 

Theatr Iolo and Polka have co-produced Tidy, which is based on the illustrated children’s book by Emily Gravett.  

With beautiful puppets, lots of lovely songs and a touch of silliness, this playful story will delight young audiences, as it explores how everyone needs a little bit of wild chaos in their lives.  

Hi I am Pete the Badger and I like everything to be neat and tidy! 
Tidying the flowers, 
Checking each patch, 
Snipping off any, 
That don’t quite match
Vacuuming the trees,
Vacuuming the grass,
Reaching all the tricky bits,
Til it’s looking first class,
I like to keep things clean,
I like to keep things neat,
I Keep the Forest Tidy,
Your friend Pete!

When autumn comes, and all the leaves start falling, Pete gets a little bit carried away with cleaning up the forest and accidently destroys his own home! Hopefully all his friends can help him fix it before it is too late. 

Tidy has been directed by Lee Lyford, composed by Lucy Rivers and the set, costume and puppets were designed by Rachael Canning. The lighting was designed by Jane Lalljee and the sound was designed by Yvonne Gilbert. 

I will be audio describing Tidy at The Sherman Theatre in Cardiff on Saturday 15 February 2025 at 2pm, at Blackwood Miners Institute on Tuesday 25 February at 10.30am and at The Riverfront in Newport on Thursday 27 February at 10.30am. There will also be a Touch Tour half hour before the show starts on each of these dates. I will take you on a guided tour around the set, where I will explain in detail what it looks like.
