Main parts were written and sequences on P3, then project was moved to the computer for edits. 
I was very sceptical and P3 didn't look for me like a good choice for writing music but it didn't take me a lot of time to completely change opinion about it.

In December 2018, Banksy gifted Port Talbot a unique Christmas present with one of his murals on the garage of a local steelworker. In 2024, Port Talbot hit the headlines again with the end of blast furnace steel-making, which is synonymous with the town.

In the weeks after Banksy’s artwork first appeared, Paul Jenkins and Tracy Harris of Theatr3 spoke to people across the town. What began as a project collecting responses to the first Banksy in Wales, ended up becoming a portrait of a community over 6 years, which is testament to its character and resilience. Now, the voices of this Welsh community take centre stage, and their words will be performed live by a professional cast.

This play has been created from the transcription of interviews with people from Port Talbot and has then been edited into a performance text. 

All of the actors in this play will be wearing earphones during the performance, listening to the recordings of the interviewees whilst simultaneously portraying them to the audience, recreating speech patterns and hesitations precisely. 

There are 6 actors in this show and they play multiple parts. They each have a base costume and then they will grab one or two costume items off the rails to signify each character.  The actors are; Matthew Bulgo, Holly Carpenter, Ioan Hefin, Simon Nehan, Jalissa Phoenix Roberts and Kerry Joy Stewart. 

The set has been designed by Cai Dyfan. Andy Pike and Ethan Lloyd are the video designers. Fenna de Jonge is the Costume Supervisor. Cara Hood has designed the lighting and Georgina Nobbs is the sound designer, with additional composition by Dai Griffiths. 

The stage is very exposed with no masking, hiding anything, with no wings on the side, making everything visible to the audience. The lighting rig above is lower than normal, and the props tables and costume rails have been brought in closer and are on both sides of the stage area. The audience may also catch glimpses of the stagehands who are all dressed in black. 
In the centre of the stage is a large 6m x 6m square raised wooden platform painted in slate grey, white and black. On the centre of the platform is a 2m 3D cube, which has been placed diagonally, representing the edge of the Port Talbot garage. Two sides of the cube are projection screens that portray the different locations throughout the play.  There is a strip of LED lights along the bottom edge of the platform and along the bottom edge of the cube. 
Behind the platform at the very back of the stage, are two large pieces of herris fencing with two smaller crowd barriers in front of them. On either side of the platform are tall scaffolding towers, with various light fittings attached from the bottom to the top. These scaffolding towers are to represent the Port Talbot steelworks. 

The Banksy mural entitled ‘Seasons Greetings’ was painted onto a garage in the Taibach area of Port Talbot, the childhood home of Richard Burton and close to the Tata Steelworks. The garage belonged to steelworker, Ian Lewis. From one angle it showed a child apparently trying to catch snowflakes on their tongue. From another angle though, it became clear that what is falling on the child is ash from a skip fire.

The show will last 2 hours and 10 minutes including a 20 minute interval. 

Please note, that this production contains strong language, sexual references and references to grief and death.

I will be audio describing the Port Talbot Gotta Banksy at The Sherman Theatre in Cardiff on Saturday 10 May at 2.30pm There will also be a Touch Tour at 1.45pm on the 10th also. At the Touch Tour, I will take you on a guided tour around the set, where I will explain in detail what it looks like and you will be able to feel selected items.

I began my journey into music production in 2014 with FL Studio, crafting hip-hop beats and exploring sound design. By 2017, my focus shifted towards tekno, tribe, and hardcore, shaping dark, industrial soundscapes designed for powerful sound systems. I like to experiment with drum machines and try to make my friends dance and giving all party people a good time. My live performances are fully improvised, guided by machines and instinct .Nothing is pre-programmed. Sounds emerge and evolve in real-time, making each experience hypnotic, immersive, and impossible to replicate. Constantly pushing the boundaries of underground sound, my music is in a state of fractal evolution.
