Stepping up with an astounding collection of first-class sonics, Fred V’s highly anticipated debut solo album, ‘Radiate’ is on the horizon for the summer of 2021, on Hospital Records. Consisting of 15 tracks that feature exciting collaborations with Millbrook, Zara Kershaw, Vonné, Lottie Jones and SAYAH. Fred V’s first-ever standalone longplayer is everything you’d hope for and more, built from an infusion of electronic influences from the past, present and future. Expect an up-close and intimate insight into the Exeter-based multi-instrumentalist, as he continues to carve out his unique musical identity through ethereal soundscapes and melancholic climates.

Combining efforts with the Berlin-based fresh talent, Millbrook who’s released on seminal imprints such as RAM, Viper and Spearhead, ‘Poison’ is an electrifying drum & bass scorcher featuring Fred V’s own mesmerising vocals immersed in cutting edge synth work and growling basslines, a nod to the widely loved style of Fred V & Grafix’s ‘Recognise’ album.

Heart-warming chimes, hazy vocal chops and futuristic drums lay at the core of ‘Glockenspiel Riddim’ as Fred V’s signature feel-good energy raises the vibe into a realm of smile-inducing flourishes and vitalising melodies.

‘Already Disappeared’ is a euphoria drenched singalong anthem. A clear demonstration of his multifaceted production style, Fred V brings together elevating atmospheres with sounds from the deeper side of the drum & bass spectrum.

Illustrious pads and big room synth plucks set the scene on ‘Gezellig’, paving the way for a rumbling reese bassline and drums which include old school breaks with a 2021 twist. Prepare to be taken to a world of exhilarant vibrations and blissful auras.

Album title-track ‘Radiate’ features the breathtaking vocals of Lottie Jones who is no stranger to Fred V’s productions with previous collaborations including ‘Atmosphere’ and ‘Proximity’. Stripped back drums and a resonant sub bass lay the groundwork for Lottie’s enchanting melodies to shine through.

With his debut album marking a fresh chapter in his career as a solo artist, Fred V’s journey so far has been a remarkable one. From his decade-long collaborative project alongside Grafix which saw many world tours, live shows and three studio albums. Since embarking on his individual venture Fred V has put out a string of successful releases which have drawn support from airwave tastemakers Annie Mac, René LaVice, MistaJam, Charlie Tee and more. Soulful drum & bass connoisseur and Goldfat Records head honcho, Mitekiss is ready to make his mark with his highly anticipated second studio album ‘Bolivian Hotel Bistro’, on Hospital Records. Consisting of 16 delicately crafted masterpieces, expect a fusion of his signature liquid-jazz style with a versatile set of influences spanning house, garage, ambient and minimal tempos, as he brings in a range of exciting new talent including Vonné, Emiko, Duskee, Ruth Corey, B-ahwe, Milo Merah, Pixie Cola and gürl.

The dreamlike ‘Sophie’s Tale’ will send listeners into a deep state of liquid lusciousness. Mitekiss provides immersive synth work and mesmerising reversed piano chords that are perfectly complemented by Milo Merah’s majestic vocals. You’ll also be able to find Milo’s vocals on ‘River So Deep’, following on from the successes of ‘City Angels’ released in 2020, featuring fellow up-and-comer d.e.o.n, that garnered support from the likes of LSB, Shy FX and DJ Ron.

Embracing his love for jazz and soul, ‘Losing Sleep’ is a deep drum & bass anthem featuring the stunning vocals of Vonné who is no stranger to laying down classics alongside Mitekiss, following ‘Matter’ which the pair released back in 2020. Expect jungle-esque breakbeats, heartfelt piano chords and a subtle but dangerous 808.

Switching up the style, album title track ‘Bolivian Hotel Bistro’ sees Mitekiss draw for a wildcard as he ventures into the higher tempo realms of house and techno. Made up of enticing pads and techno-inspired arps, there isn’t a sound that Mitekiss can’t conquer.

‘Droplets’ warms the soul with playful chimes that send tingles down the spine, skippy drumwork and a jazz-inspired bassline. Mirroring the sounds of raindrops, Mitekiss takes us on a sombre sonic journey accompanied by Leeds-based vocalist B-ahwe’s enticing harmonies.

Other notable moments on the album include his garage infused banger ‘Flep’, orchestral breakbeat masterpiece ‘Falling In Reverse (feat. gürl)’, as well as previously released singles ‘Mortala (feat. Emiko & Duskee)’ and ‘Seventeen (feat. Pixie Cola)’.

Flying the flag for the next generation of drum & bass pioneers, Mitekiss has a catalogue of releases that span the likes of Shogun Audio, Skankandbass and his very own Goldfat Records which he runs alongside Mr Porter. His most recent single ‘Mortala’ has received a flurry of support across BBC Radio 1 with several plays from airwave master René LaVice and BBC Introducing.
