Bayanda Nhlakanipho Xaba,born 6 May 1997,also known as Baya Xabzin is a South African Rapper,Songwriter from Durban,KwaZulu Natal in a place called Dassenhoek but currently residing at Mpumalanga,Nelspruit in a place called Barberton. Xabzon started out as a Michael Jackson Impersonator at the age of 12. Then his love for Michael Jackson evolved to love for music in general,then the following year he started writing his own songs. following his cousin Philani Sithole's footsteps as he was also a rapper on a group called DC BOYS. Xabzin released his first song at the age 15 under the record label he was under called "Righteous Records". The song was called "I Need You Girl" featuring T.A.G and Wengel Selassie then uplpaded it on his Youtube Channel. While Xabzin recorded his first project in 2010,the computer died and all the songs he made went down the drain,he was very devastated and gave up everything and thought he would never go back to music ever again. He then released another song called "You Are My Everything" featuring Kuster Boy,independently in 2014. Then he vowed not to go back to
 music after the song. But i guess the calling was too loud when on March 2020 the South African President announced that the country to be under Lockdown because of the Coronavirus pandemic,Xabzin again went back to writing in order to keep himself busy. 

After the Lockdown was introduced,he wrote a song called "Corona" and recorded it with his phone because he did not have the equipment for making music and uploaded it on his SoundCloud account. As the time went by he met his colleague Philly Blunt at work at  Debonairs Pizza as they were working together there. Philly Blunt who was also a producer offered Xabzin recording sessions for FREE as Xabzin was still struggling to get his own equipment. After working with Philly Blunt on the 30th October 2020,Xabzin released a single "Backstabbers" which did very well as it got streamed more than 100 times on the first day of release. Its available on all digital stores. Baya Xabzin went on to record two more songs on Philly's studio. Thats when he felt he is back at it again. When he is asked about Philly,Xabzin commented "he is very humble,smart,he knows music,he has even helped in shapening some of my songs to make them better. He helped me when everyone on the hood rejected me,and he did it for free,I can say he dragged me out of the mud cos he saw how passionate i was and he believed in me,and i will be forever indebted to Philly.".

Baya Xabzin's inspiration for Rap comes from Eminem. Which can be clearly heard from Xabzin's style of rapping,the flow patterns,the use of wordplay,punchlines and chopping(rapping fast). Eminem played a huge role in sharpening Xabzin's pen game. Xabzin recalls some of the things that made him be the type of rapper that he is "Eminem has always inspired me,i always listen to his albums and decipher each and every song,i break down the lyrics,google some words i dont understand as we know Eminem is a wordsmith(laughs),so that i get the whole idea of the song,then i break down wordplays and punchlines,and i also pay too much attention to his flow patterns that he uses,So thats why i always ponder on how i can up my pen game in terms of creativity,punchlines and unlocking new flow patterns,Thats why i always write down bars that come to my mind at any time,even on the midnight,i want to crack the rap game,i want to be the epitome of a lyrical genius,im not there yet,i will keep learning from other rappers too". Baya Xabzin released The Chronicles Of Xabzin EP on 5 March 2021.
