ARMADA SOUNDS is the given name to a series of compilations presented by the booking agency and record label BLDSMX. This series was founded in early 2020, with the purpose of interacting with artists who are within the international underground music scene, which are joined by a deep and universal web of soundscapes and connections. This project is a product generated through effort and dedication to the bass music scene, and the avant-garde electronic sounds in the constantly evolving and hybridizing rhythms of 140-170 BPMs such as Juke/Footwork, Dubstep, D&B, Jungle, Halftime, and more

This project was born from the thirst of creators, DJs and producers Alan Flores ‘Vinil Motion’, Pil ‘Deeplinkin’, and most recent addition to the crew Felipe Jardel ‘Aiokai’, with the devotion and passion for low frequencies, repetitive drums, half times and the energetic rhythms mentioned. This great collaboration within the BLDSMX team has, as a purpose, connecting with the inmost parts of listeners and producers alike, to make this deep and universal web as tangible as possible

5head is the final outcome in a remix project by Slump Sounds producer job type, with additional production from vesarchie and baccy beard. The track features a swirling ensemble of textural noise and jungle breaks. Synthetic flutes gather above a heaving bassline reminiscent of blown-out speakers... ear splitting hiss and echoing synths shimmering into polyrhythmic feedback... screaming sirens and distorted voices flood the space between the drums. The track lunges forward, transition after transition, into an anthemic finale. Chaotic in its vision, harnessed in the sound characterised by baccy beard's release last year: clattering breakbeats, rupturing bass and searing square wave melodies.

excess return to the fray with the sophomore instalment of their charity VA series - ANY BPM. The record delivers upon the excess mantra & assembles bassy cuts of every flavour, across a glistening tracklist featuring nineteen unique producers from across the globe. The project was undertaken in support of Fareshare, a UK based charity that combats food poverty across the country.

In our time of spiralling inflation, the burgeoning cost of living crisis has made food poverty a daunting reality for so many. excess will donate all profits from the sales of this project to Fareshare, to make what difference we can to those in need during a time of unprecedented difficulty. 

Contributing to this causes are a host of exciting artists, across a wide spectrum of underground bass music genres. Moving from ambient 2-step and bouncy UK funky rhythms to raucous 4x4 grime and turbo jungle, this record navigates every corner of the bass music landscape, without stopping to take a breath.
