I try to stick to a normal work day, but ideas never come at predictable moments.. I write things down when they come and have a Coffee when they don’t… Sometimes I’m writhing a lot and sometimes I’m just drinking coffee..

R.C. kicked off around, 93' ...recordings were made in random places around the house and mixed in a home made basement studio, using an X15 Fostex Four Track Porta-Studio, and mixer... there was lots of, tape sampling/editing, field recordings and FX going on... was all about, experimentation... today, the creative processes are similar... just, a whole bunch better toys to play with!

He became a staple at numerous parties across Barcelona, collaborating with collectives such as La Finka, Dimension X, Psyseed, Expressing Underground, Trykomadelik, Hippy-flip, PsycomaniK, and Muscaria. His music also echoed through the underground party scenes of Ibiza.

In 2012/2013, Cricket further honed his craft by studying electronic music at ETIC. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the electronic dance music scene with a refreshed mindset and a new sonic aesthetic. Now focusing on Progressive and Psytrance genres, Cricket is dedicated to pushing boundaries and infusing fresh sounds into the scene.

Embracing a new name and persona, Cricket is more than just a DJ—he is a pioneer continually evolving and shaping the future of electronic music.

With a continued focus and attention to electronic production, Speciman Squared are constantly digesting many ways to achieve ‘mind bending’ tension and release in their music.

Their tracks will take you on a journey with deep wobbly bass lines, intricately sequenced polyrhythms, climbing builds that suck the sub frequencies and leading drops that tease.

The traverse use of production technics result with a creation of interesting complexities, and a style that blends many of todays electronic genres, while still retaining a relaxed psychedelic feel.

Speciman² is the collaborative project between Simon Goyne and Jeremy Toland.   
After being introduced to each other in 2007 they soon found themselves in each other’s studios exploring the many capabilities of their electronic hardware and software, producing solid and adventurous tracks.
