Jesse Born in South Jersey, Jesse was drawn into the Philadelphia music scene around the age of 15. With roots in underground dubstep and bass music, his style is constantly evolving and now includes a healthy portion of bassline house and garage. Jesse has been spinning for three years in and and around Philly; his sets have been featured at Coda, Rumor, The Trocadero, The Barbary, Voltage Lounge, Trilogy, and other local venues and events. Since joining Bangarang, Jesse has also played in Brooklyn at The Paper Box and the main stage of Freeform Music and Arts Festival. Some of Jesse’s major musical influences are Mala, Skream, and Billy Kenny. Jesse is notorious for always being down to spin, especially when it’s back to back with another DJ.Jesse’s DJ philosophy: “The sound system always comes first. Playing tunes that are meant to show what a system can do is what it’s all about. Just let the music do the talking.”

I love house music and craft beer! I also enjoy broadcasting live from gigs when internet connectivity permits for the benefit of those few who can't make it that want to actually hear what I have to play.

How do you even begin to describe the anomaly that is ContrAversY? Hes taken the east coast by storm over the last 2 decades, and has no intention of letting up. From promoting for Ultraworld and Club Sonar in DC in the 90's, to President of the independant record label Faction Digital Recordings, Contraversy has put in the Legg work of everything inbetween tenfold.
After first being introduced to dance music the mid 90s, it wasnt until 2005 that he found his home behind the decks. Taking from his early influences of hip-hop and metal, his style of mixing and blending track after track seamlessly definitely has not gone by with out notice. Quickly gaining the recognition, and most importantly, the respect of his peers, hes gone on to play countless of shows all up and down the east coast.
