A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. Glacial rivers are more than just visually striking - they’re vital lifelines shaped by melting ice and shifting seasons. Lexer - The Edge Of Everything

Huminal teams up with Dutch producer Mitch de Klein for the mesmerizing ‘Mirage’ EP, marking Mitch’s debut on Purified Records. Opening with the collaborative title track, ‘Mirage’, the duo delivers a deep yet playful journey built around groovy synth motifs and textured sound design, blending driving momentum with an effortlessly laidback edge. Intricate layers of rhythm and harmony create a uniquely infectious identity, perfectly balancing energy and finesse. On the flip side, Mitch presents his solo cut ‘Night Owl’ - an atmospheric excursion guided by emotive synth lines and expansive break moments. With its otherworldly character and evolving intensity, the track delivers a powerful late-night voyage. Together, ‘Mirage’ and ‘Night Owl’ showcase both artists’ refined approach to melodic techno and deep house, while introducing Mitch’s sound to the Purified community.

Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Mirage’ EP artwork features a delicate jellyfish drifting gracefully through the endless blue of French Polynesia. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

The Nature Conservancy (@nature_org) works to protect French Polynesia and beyond by restoring coral reefs, safeguarding marine habitats, and advancing sustainable practices in coastal communities. Through science-based solutions and global collaboration, they aim to ensure the ocean remains resilient for both marine life and people.

In therapy I did this exercise where I would breathe deeply and then would take a visual “elevator” in my mind, going back to the 11 year old version of me. When I arrived,  11 year old me was sitting on the couch in the place where I lived with my mom before she passed away. I came towards myself and said: “Have Fun”. Which resonated so deeply, tears came down my face. There was so much in this encounter. My therapist told me: ‘It’s too late to save her’. It all made sense now. There was this little version of me, still fighting, still trying to honour her life, that I had to let go off, it was a breakthrough moment and the final part of my healing. After this session I wrote “So Much Love To Give” which holds the message, that everything I had tried fighting for, came from a place of deep love.

Joris Voorn's Spectrum imprint continues its mission to spotlight visionary electronic music with the debut of Dutch producer Tim van Werd, who delivers a cinematic two-track EP: 'View From Space.' A release inspired by the awe of the cosmos and the humbling perspective of orbit. 

The title track, 'View From Space,' draws on the powerful words of Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, whose reflections from orbit sparked the theme of the EP. Glistening chimes and warm, enveloping rhythms capture the beauty of Earth as seen from above, a fragile, shared home suspended in the blackness of space. It's a meditation on unity, wonder, and the stillness of perspective.

The journey continues with 'Jupiter', a bold musical leap into the outer solar system. Swirling pads and expansive textures echo the eternal storms and timeless energy of the gas giant. It's a piece that explores scale, a soundtrack to drifting past something ancient, unknowable, and infinitely vast. A reminder of our place in the universe, and the power of sound to express the inexpressible. 

With View From Space, Tim van Werd delivers an emotionally resonant debut. A perfect fit for the Spectrum ethos of music with meaning, mood, and magnitude.
