Best known for his fine mental dash and intricate modular assemblies which have been featured on the likes of Granulart, Pole Group, Tsunami Records and KEY, the Barcelona-based hypnotist laid down for us a two-hour shy mind-boggler of a - vinyl-only - mix. A true Rorschach test of gridlocked machine funk interwoven with tuff-as-nail hardware bursts and more atmospheric flights, this one will keep you guessing as to what the next bar may bring to the table. Macbook、Xone 2D、RODEC MX-180 MK3、FaderfoxのMIDIコントローラーにモニタースピーカーはKrk VXT8です。

-このミックスのコンセプトなどがあれば教えてください。
このミックスのベースは今年の夏にプレイするもの中心でところどころ、短くエネルギッシュで長いところがあったり。僕らは自分たちのためにクラブでのセットが何であるかを1時間にまとめてみました。

-最近の活動を教えてください。
最近は自分たちの夏用のセットに取り組んできた。あとはちょうど「Mindtrip」というレーベルからリリースされるPfirterのリミックスを完成させました。その他に「Developer」や「Perc Trax」、僕たちのレーベルnheomaやPolegroupでのコラボレーションを今後展開していくつもりです。

It’s been a little while but we are back and happy to bring you the first PAX Podcast of 2022! This also marks the beginning of more regular uploads, as we will start releasing a podcast every month.

To kick things off we have a mesmerizing mix by @Idashro. Born in Istanbul, based in Amsterdam, I-RO is stepping into the Dutch Scene. Making her debut at a rave just 8 weeks ago, she already displays a level of quality and confidence in her sound that is not often seen in upcoming dj’s. I-RO’s sound is mysterious, capturing and expressive. Groovy basslines join hypnotic patterns and melodies to gently guide you towards a deeper realm. For I-RO music is both a way to find yourself and to escape. This is important because in today’s world we deal with so many constraints whereas music means liberty. Listening to different genres of music throughout life appealed to different parts of I-RO’s personality, which in turn allowed her to discover herself as a whole.

When we asked I-RO about the thoughts and feelings surrounding the mix she said this: ‘’This is the musical conveyance of an insomniac girl’s mind. She scrutinizes her days and thoughts trying to fall asleep. Later on, she enters a dreamy state where her thoughts become imaginations scrambled with some voices and visions from her subconscious… She wakes up. Did she ever fall asleep and dream or was it all made up in her mind?’’

So join I-RO in between the beats and dream away for 2 hours…

Founded in 2017 by David Le Naour and Léa Occhi, Spectrum Waves was born from a deep desire: to create a new space for expression, gathering, and experimentation within the LGBTQIA+ community. Rooted in electronic music culture, the collective offers a sanctuary of inclusivity, free expression, aiming to host events where everyone feels safe and welcome.

These events, crafted in an immersive, dreamlike atmosphere, are a true celebration of queer culture. A space where everyone can be their most authentic self. It’s not just about the music; it’s an invitation to dance, express, and honor the diversity of identities and experiences.

Since its creation, Spectrum Waves has established its home at La Station – Gare des Mines. All events push boundaries, blending art, lighting, live performances, and energetic sets. With a lineup spotlighting both emerging and recognized artists, we cultivate a range of electronic sound that is subtle, rhythmic, and mentally engaging.

Equality and diversity are at the heart of our approach. We emphasize gender parity and shine a spotlight on women in the electronic music scene. Moreover, the collective supports essential causes such as LGBTQIA+ rights, migrant assistance, and environmental preservation by donating part of each event's proceeds to various organizations.
