Frau Blau proudly welcomes Crosstown Rebels' rising star Brina Knauss for her debut EP on the label.

'Births' is a hypnotic melodic solid gem of a track. It's the sound of summer, as the beautiful pads wrap themselves effortlessly around the melodic top line, while a bubbling bassline gently meanders, creating a huge moment. Understated yet anthemic simultaneously.

Berlin's Emanuel Satie, fresh from Cocoon & Rebirth, steps up first on remix duty and utilizes so much of the original. Enhancing the emotion, and bringing forth the drive of the bassline, this is a festival-sized rework.

Next up is David Mayer. His work on Connected & Get Physical causing a fuss as always, seemed like the perfect choice to bring his vibes. And what a decision this was. An end-of-night smile inducer was the outcome, as the feel-good vibes flow throughout.

If the package wasn't big enough already, a second original enti tled 'Ludum' brings some dirtiness to proceedings. This gritty number slowly develops from the darkness, as subtle emotions gently bring in some light, changing the vibe wonderfully.

During the pandemic I created a four part mix series for Triple J that was focused around my inspirations as a DJ and record producer. It sent me down quite the nostalgic path of re-discovery. I believe the pandemic became quite a reflective time for everybody at home. Not just they were pining for a life before COVID 19, but it gave them a chance to look back and discover what they liked about life in general. Whether that be art, music, or even relationships. 

After listening to all of this music, I decided I wanted to try my hand and write a timeless rave record that not only made listeners nostalgic for the past, but excited about the celebrations we all have to come. “Miracle Maker” is the result".

I was in the UK last year after a massive summer of touring, caught the train down to Brighton with some friends, and ended up in an incredible studio overlooking the beach. I was missing home a bit, but feeling really inspired and wanted to write a feel-good record, reminding myself of the importance of saving time for the ones I care and love. Whilst (In the studio) overlooking the same site Fatboy Slim hosted his ‘Big Beach Boutique’, I was thinking about the UK’s dance music history, it inspired me, and decided to lean into the idea of writing something that sounds sampled, but isn't. I often like to write records completely on my own, but it feels so perfect to have written this one alongside some good pals — Clementine Douglas, Caitlin Stubbs & Toby Scott.

Hi friends,

Before listening to "Tender Love", I would like to thank all the people who made it possible. Ocie Elliot aka couple of the year, Louis Chartier and his team, MaJu Records and I.O.T Records, my family and all the people who worked on it whether it be for the diffusion, the advices or the critics.
Without forgetting all of you who keep on listening to my releases, for some reasons that I still don't fully understand,

I would also like to explain that this song, as well as its video clip, were made 2 years ago. Some problems happened, some delays have accumulated. After a while I wasn't sure I still wanted to release it. 2 years is a long time. 
What made me change my mind is to always be able to "enjoy" it when other productions are unbearable for me the next day, but also the positive feedback I received from some of you in private. So I decided to release it, as it was made 2 years ago. I couldn't tell that it represents exactly what I'm doing now but it remains very important to me. I hope it will be the same for you.
