Yutaka Fontaine is a dance music production duo from the majestic island of ‘Oahu, Hawai’i.  The pair had each carved out their own careers in the music/entertainment business, working on and off with each other throughout the past decade.

Like many others in the industry, Yutaka Fontaine found their world turned upside down in the midst of the pandemic, but during that period of silence, their sound was born.  

In late 2022, YF started showcasing their work through weekly remixes on SoundCloud, and when their remix of Teriyaki Boys’ Tokyo Drift, Ninjas in Tokyo, got some traction, they made the commitment to dive full-time into the music.  

Currently, YF is staying committed to their weekly releases, however, now it’s with an entirely original music catalog.  The sound ranges anywhere from indie pop, nu disco, tech house, progressive house, to break beats.  

So why the masks?  It’s always been about the music…  Themes of trying to deal with feeling self-conscious and insecure in an increasingly intrusive media based society resound through the records as Yutaka Fontaine invites you to share their sonic intimacy through the soundwaves.

Hey everyone! Originally born and raised in Portugal before moving to the US and now residing in Germany, I've always had an inclination towards club music as they used to call it. Right now, I'm just having a blast experimenting with DJ equipment at home for pure enjoyment such as Traktor PRO 4 and TRAKTOR KONTROL S4MK3. Speed is a US Florida native who grew up NYC tri-state area and took on a liking to Trance at an early age of his youthful years. He got his first pair of decks at 16 and would travel to Satellite records shop in Manhattan to get releases he heard on his pc. As time went on he grew a passion for his art in turntable beat matching and was inspired by the likes of the well-known big artists in the genre of Progressive, Trance, & Breaks. Later on, SpeedRising met up with Richard Sander the label boss of Saturn3 Records where Richard signed Speed's first track, Rouge City.
