Such a beautiful piano melody, full of calm and tenderness. It really takes you on a journey, like a quiet escape from time. I can picture a winter day, sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate, watching the snow fall outside the window. It’s a peaceful and heartwarming piece. Did you compose it in a single take or build it slowly over time?

I’ve always dreamed of recording a synthwave track, but I’ve never been able to create that atmosphere, the right drum section, the characteristic bass line, and the vibe that this wonderful genre of music is known for. method: most of the pre-takes done with a reface dx and oyayo toy drums, later stretches in audacity, voice in balabolka and rearrangement and editing in samplitude (also adding bubbling bass voice, clicks and further elements)
Narration: it is the evening of the day …. the serenity of the song by the Stones, coupled with recollectioms of events, i.e. exploring tensions, delayed dis- and resonances and so on and so forth

August 2025 Currently on residency in Italy !
These are the 2nd batch of 3 short sketches using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds - manipulating them and stitching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. I have done a dozen or so since arriving a fortnight ago but not sharing them all (some are pretty rubbish). The idea is to have them done by the end of the day (or night) then move on to something fresh the next day. 
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA.
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi !

August 2025 . The residency has just finished, heading home soon to start work on developing a couple of long format works from all the sound captures. 
These are the 3rd batch of 3 short sketches using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds - manipulating them and stitching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. I have done maybe 20 or so  since the beginning of August. The idea is to have them done by the end of the day (or night) then move on to something fresh the next day.
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA.
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi !
